ORDINANCE NO. 674
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE ZONING REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF COLWICH, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colwich, Kansas, has prepared surveys of past and present conditions in and around the City in accordance with the provisions of K.S.A. 12-747; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has prepared a Comprehensive Plan showing the Commission’s recommendations for future development of the City; and
WHEREAS, THE Planning Commission has held a public hearing thereon following due notice to the public as required by K.S.A. 12-747; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has provided to the Governing Body of the City of Colwich, Kansas a certified copy of the Comprehensive Plan and a written summary of the hearing thereon together with their recommendation for adoption; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Colwich, Kansas finds it advisable to adopt the Comprehensive Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDANED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF COLWICH, KANSAS THAT:
Section1. The Comprehensive Plan for Colwich, Kansas attached hereto, and incorporated herein by reference, meeting the conditions for adoption prescribed in K.S.A. 12-747, is hereby adopted and declared to be the official guide for future development of the City.
Section 2. The Comprehensive Plan shall constitute the basis or guide for public action to insure a coordinated and harmonious development or redevelopment which will best promote the health, safety, morals, order, convenience, prosperity and general welfare as well as wise and efficient expenditures of public funds.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage, approval, and publication one time in the official newspaper of the City.
Section. 4. Upon the passage and publication of this Ordinance, the City Clerk is directed to send an attested copy of the Comprehensive Plan to all other taxing subdivision in the planning area requesting a copy of the plan.

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE REVISED MUNICIPAL ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF COLWICH, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colwich, Kansas, has prepared a Comprehensive Plan showing the Commission’s recommendations for future development of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colwich, Kansas, has completed surveys of existing conditions in the City of Colwich, Kansas; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has prepared a proposed general revision of the zoning ordinance for the City; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing thereon following due notice to the public as required by .K.S.A. 12-757; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has provided to the Governing Body of the City of Colwich, Kansas a certified copy of the proposed Zoning Ordinance for the zoning jurisdiction of the City and a written summary of the hearing thereon together with their recommendation for adoption; and
WHEREAS, THE Governing Body of the City of Colwich, Kansas finds it advisable to adopt the proposed Zoning Ordinance for the zoning jurisdiction of the City of Colwich, Kansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDANED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF COLWICH, KANSAS THAT:
Section1. The Revised Zoning Ordinance for the City of Colwich, Kansas as recommended by the Planning Commission, meeting the conditions for adoption prescribed in K.S.A. 12-757, is hereby adopted and declared to be the Official Zoning Regulations for the zoning jurisdiction of the City.
Section 2. The Zoning Ordinance shall constitute the basis for determination of zoning district regulations within the zoning jurisdiction of the City of Colwich, Kansas.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage, approval, and publication one time in the official newspaper of the City.

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colwich, Kansas, has prepared a Comprehensive Plan showing the Commission’s recommendations for future development of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colwich, Kansas, has completed surveys of existing conditions in the City of Colwich, Kansas; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has prepared proposed Subdivision Regulations for the City; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has held a public hearing thereon following due notice to the public as required by .K.S.A. 12-749; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has provided to the Governing Body of the City of Colwich, Kansas a certified copy of the proposed Subdivision Regulations for the incorporated area of the City and a written summary of the hearing thereon together with their recommendation for adoption; and
WHEREAS, THE Governing Body of the city of Colwich, Kansas finds it advisable to adopt the proposed Subdivision Regulations of the City of Colwich, Kansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDANED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF COLWICH, KANSAS THAT:
Section1. The Subdivision Regulations for the City of Colwich, Kansas as recommended by the Planning Commission, meeting the conditions for adoption prescribed in K.S.A. 12-749, are hereby adopted.
Section 2. The Subdivision Regulations shall constitute the basis for determination of land development procedures within the zoning jurisdiction of the City of Colwich, Kansas.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage, approval, and publication one time in the official newspaper of the City.
