The Laurel Park Community Boosters (LPCB) is a organization based on community volunteers. It is through the timeless service of these volunteers that the LPCB is able to provide charitable donations to schools and organizations. In keeping with our volunteer service we would like to offer three $500 scholarships to each high school in Martinsville and Henry County to a deserving student who has dedicated their time to help others.

This scholarship is for high school seniors who are planning on attending college for the first time. The criteria will be based on community service. Students are asked to list all community service hours. These must be accompanied with a letter from a teacher or sponsor of an organization who has knowledge of your service hours and can support your volunteer time given.

To apply for this scholarship please submit the following:

  • Information Sheet
  • Community Service Sheet
  • One Page Essay
  • One or more reference letters verifying your community service hours.

Return scholarship information to: Laurel Park Community Boosters, 411 East Church St., Martinsville, VA. 24112. Applications must be received no later than Monday, April 28, 2013. Notification of recipients will be announced at each individual schools scholarship/award night.
