How to convert your DVD to flash and quicktime for person use or loading to youtube.

The files on a DVD are called VOB files. The VOB files contain the Mpeg2 files that the DVD players use for video and audio

DVD VOB files to QT (quicktime):

Look up Handbrake in goggle, then download the free program HANDBRAKE (mac or pc)

Use Handbrake to convert by choosing your DVD as the source file and selecting your destination file in the folder that you want it to be in.

Select h264 for most QT applications.

If you want a smaller image go to picture settings/size and input your image size (usually 320x240 for youtube.

After converting

To edit the QT file, open the free program QT or Windows Media Player.

If you’re are using QT, use the small triangles at the bottom to set your IN and OUT points. You must then make and save a new clip.

To make a new clip, press control C, then Control-N to open a new QT window, then Control-V to paste. Then save your clip in the folder you wish (usually My Documents/My videos) with a new name.

Options to save: Within the QT program, go to file/export/options and you can select differing sizes and filters.

You may upload the clip you save in the QT format to youtube if you have a youtube account.

VOB files to FLASH (flv) files. (Flash is the file format for youtube)

Download the conversion program ASV CONVERTER. (look it up on goggle)
