17th, 22nd and 23rd September

General conditions

1. Entry is open to registered members of FarehamNomadsSwimming Club. Entrants must also be registered

members of the ASA.

2. The Competition has been licensed at Level 4 by the ASA (Licence No. 4SExxxxxx)

3. The competition will be run under ASA Laws & Technical Rules. In the interests of time 'over the top' starts will be used at the discretion of the referee.

4. The pool length at Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth is 25m, there are 8 lanes with anti-turbulence lane ropes. The pool is 2.0m.

The pool length at Fareham Leisure Centre is 25m,there are6 lanes with anti-turbulence lane ropes. The pool depth at the shallow end is 0.9m and at the deep end it is 2.0m. All events will start at the deep end of the pool.

Entries

5. The closing date for entries is Monday 11th September 2017.

6. Entries should be made on Team Unify, paper or email entries will not be accepted.

7. Cost to enter Club Championships is £20 per swimmer if you are a member of a competitive squad (Foundation, Development, Junior and Senior Competitive and Junior and Senior Premier and Masters). Entry is free for swimmers in Learn to Swim and Academy and Swim Fit. Payment is by BACS transfer only please to account Sort Code: 20-69-40, Account Number: 40960292

8. There will be no refund of entry fees to swimmers who withdraw from events, unless the withdrawal is for medical reasons and a doctor’s note is supplied.

9. Ages will be as at 31st December 2017.

10. Entries for this gala will be held on a computer and consent, as required by the Data Protection Act, to the holding of personal information on computer will be deemed to have been given by submission of an entry.

If you wish to withdraw from any events please discuss with your coach before requesting withdrawal.

Meet programme

11. There will be no finals, all events will be HDW (Heat Declared Winner).

12. All swimmers will compete together, seeded according to entry time. Swimmers with no entry time willswim first.

13. Results will be posted at the meet and updated on TU. All times recorded will be sent to the ASA Rankings Department.

Awards

14. Awards will be made for the individual age groups: 9 yrs, 10 yrs, 11 yrs, 12 yrs, 13 yrs, 14 yrs, 15 yrs & 16 yrs over, Masters (25 yrsover). Age will be asat31st December 2017.

15. Awards will be based on FINA points for the swimmers top 8 races (6 for the 9 year old age group). A swimmers top 8 results must include 2x50m races, 2x100m races (free, back, breast or fly), 1x200m form race (back, breast or fly), best of 200m free or 400m free and 1xIM. If a swimmer does not compete in 8 qualifying races then the results they have got will be used to determine their placing (So, for example a swimmer with 4 good results could still win their age group).

For 9 year olds the 6 races must include 2 x 50m, 1 x 100m and an IM.

If swimmers are on level points after all races have been completed the award will go to the swimmer with the highest-ranking swim (using FINA points).

16. Each boy and girl ranked 1st in each age group from 9 years up will receive the Perpetual Championship shield which they may retain until the last date of the 2018 Club Championships. In addition, each boy and girl ranked 1st, 2nd & 3rd overall in each age groupfrom 9 years up will receive a trophy.

12. All Age Group shields and Age Group trophies willbe awarded at a presentation evening, which will be held in November 2017.

13. Medals will also be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for all events for the age groups, 8 & under, 9, 10 and 11 years. Medals should be collected from the medals table on the night of the competition.

14. All children competing in their first Club Championships will get a medal. This should be collected from the medals table the first night they compete.

Poolside access

17. The promoter, in conjunction with the Leisure Centre Operator, reserves the right to refuse admission to any person.

18. Any situation not covered by the above conditions will be handled at the discretion of the promoter, who also reserves the right to make changes to the programme of events that may beconsidered necessary for the smooth running of the competition.
