JOB TITLE: Awards Network Development Worker (REF: ANDW1016).

SALARY SCALE: FTE £26,043 - £30,186 (YS/Scottish Joint Council Spinal Column Points 29 to 34).

(Full Time Equivalent is for 35 hours per week)

HOURS OF WORK: 21 hours per week (pro-rata). Evening and weekend work may be required.

HOLIDAYS: 42 days pro-rata (30 annual leave + 12 public).

CONTRACT: Fixed Term, initially for one year from appointment. Continuation is dependent on funding. Current funding is provided by Education Scotland.

LINE MANAGER: Youth Scotland Depute Chief Executive (Youth Scotland is the post employer as the Awards Network is an unincorporated body)

MANAGEMENT: Awards Network Strategy Sub Group

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST ARE TO:

·  Write and respond to correspondence on behalf of the Awards Network, preparing agendas, and papers for discussion at meetings.

·  Manage the venue hosting, date scheduling and communication of Awards Network business to members.

·  Respond to applications for membership and provide guidance for submission.

·  Improve the reach of the Awards Network to Schools, Employers, Youth Workers, Young People and Parents through progressing actions in the Marketing Strategy

·  Manage the maintenance and continually develop the Awards Network website (www.awardsnetwork.org) through an external web designer and in conjunction with the Awards Network members.

·  Develop and deliver the ‘Awards Aware’ Awards Network kitemarking tool.

·  Direct promotion awareness of the Awards Network to the Youth Work Sector, Employers, Schools, Parents and Young People.

·  Promotion and distribution of Amazing Things 4

·  Identify and negotiate representation at events to raise the profile of the Awards Network.

·  Develop proposals which capture and share the collective impact of the Awards Network.

·  Develop proposals that present opportunities for young people to see their achievements in youth work with more clarity and are supported to see the transferable skills that they have gained and how they might be applied in other areas of their life including employability.

OCCASIONAL TASKS:

·  Participate in external forums, workshops and events to promote the Awards Network.

·  Attend and participate in other appropriate meetings as and when required.

·  Undertake other duties which may be required and which are commensurate with the post.
