To whom it may concern,

As the world reacts to the Israeli raid on the Gaza flotilla, the same rhetoric is heard, "Excessive use of force", "Innocent loss of life", "Terrorist state". These reactions against the Jewish state are not new; these terms are used constantly as a public relations war against Israel. The age old prejudice seeps out of each and every term. The world jumps to conclusions, ignoring vital facts to fit an agenda, which is unfortunately rising against the state of Israel. If we examine the preconditions to the raid we see: The warning's were issued numerous times, they were sent by satellite, public messages, and formal speeches. The actions taken against the flotilla are of their own doing. If the TRUE motive of the flotilla was to deliver aid to the people of Gaza, they could have done it without conflict. Israel had repeatedly said, "We will screen and deliver the aid", however the flotilla chose conflict and now face the ramifications of their actions. There is an obvious hidden motive of the Flotilla. When the goals of a group can be accomplished without conflict, yet the group chooses to have such conflict, a hidden motive arises. The flotilla had every opportunity to perform their desired actions without conflict, however they chose conflict. They faced the consequences of their actions. The flotilla was not only attempting to sail into waters were maritime traffic was prohibited, but also were prepared to attack Israeli Soldiers at all costs. "We fully intend to go to Gaza regardless of any intimidation or threats of violence against us, They are going to have to forcefully stop us.", said Huwaida Arraf, a Free Gaza protester aboard one of the boats. The flotilla was fully prepared to attack and do harm to the soldiers. So we again ask, what was the real motive of the flotilla? "They were mobbed, they were clubbed, they were beaten, stabbed, there was even a report of gunfire. And our soldiers had to defend themselves.", as reported by Reuters. In addition, stun grenades were thrown as the soldiers descended to the boats, later firebombs, and even the forceful pushing of soldiers overboard. How any sane human can expect soldiers not to defend themselves against knives, metal poles, axes, guns, and clubs is not a reasonable human being. Now wait, wasn't this a peace activist mission? Why were these "Peace activists" carrying weapons? The only logical reason would be to do harm to the Israeli soldiers. The mission of the Gaza flotilla was in no way a "peace activist " mission. The activist were in no way planning to confront the massive human rights violations of Hamas. They also expressed an ideology of solidarity for some and not for others. "Gaza aid convoy refuses to deliver package to Gilad Shalit". We must express a reasonable question of why? If these activist were set out for humanistic values, why not give a package to Gilad Shalit. Noam Shalit, Gillad's father, offered support to the flotilla if they delivered this one small package; they refused. To recap, warnings were issued, their goals could have been accomplished without conflict, refusal of aid to a kidnapped soldier, premeditated attacks against Israel soldiers, sailing into a restricted maritime traffic area, refusal to abide by Israel's blockade, and an obvious hidden motive. Of course, all innocent human life lost is a horrible and saddening event, however when the life lost is blamed on an innocent party based on a preset mindset; more problems arise and conflicts begin. Now ask, who is to blame? The world reacts harshly and cruelly to Israel, but why? Why is it that facts are ignored to fit a hatred agenda against Israel? Why is it hamas can hang those accused of talking to Israel, kill and torture those who are gay, use schools as holding and interrogation cells, yet not even get the slightest slap on the wrist. The UN? The UN claims hamas to be a terrorist organization, yet has not even once written a condemnation resolution for their actions. The age old prejudice against the state of Israel is seen over and over again. As of May 31, 2010 over 150 Kurd's have been Killed by Turkey. In Kyrgyzstan, an estimated 2000 people are dead due to ethnic fighting. The families of 3 Americans wait to see their children as Iran imprisons them and uses them to pull US to their misguided hate filled sentiments.. Israel eased the blockade of Gaza. Gilad Shalit has been in captivity for almost 1,500 days and what do we hear in the news? "Israel needs to agree to an international investigation of its deadly commando raid on a Turkish ship", which it eventually did. The world will raise their hands against Israel, but then the world will cease to have hands.. All conflicts could have been avoided; instead bloodshed was seen. The final question left is, will nations be logical and think about this event rationally or will they jump to conclusion, ignore facts, and put blame on Israel as we have seen in the past? The choice is theirs.
