Chapter Appointed Position

July 1, the President took office. They are seeking

NASW-MO members who are interested in serving on Vacant Board Positions, Chapter Committees, or Task Forces.

§  Committees and Task Forces may meet face-to-face one time a year in Jefferson City or Lake of the Ozarks at a time convenient for all committee members. Board Members will meet four times a year; three times in Jefferson City and one at Lake of the Ozarks. Board members may also have other duties and responsibilities to the chapter.

§  Committees and Task Forces meet as needed via conference call at a time convenient for committee members.

§  Committees carry out the tasks defined by the Board, usually detailed in the annual Program Plan. Board Members carry out the tasks defined by Chapter Bylaws.

§  A MO Chapter staff person usually provides support for the committee or task force.

§  Committee or Task Force terms are for two years; Board Member positions vary according to which position is vacant.

NASW-Missouri Chapter Vision Statement

NASW-Missouri Chapter will be a widely respected professional organization that effectively balances our deep commitment to advocacy and empowerment of our members and those they serve while maintaining the highest professional standards.

1.  What types of skills, resources, and time commitment do you feel you can provide to the NASW-Missouri Chapter Board of Directors, a NASW-Missouri Chapter Committee or Task Force member?

2.  What do you hope to gain by becoming a Board/Committee/Task Force member?

3.  In addition to regular Board/Committee/Task Force duties, please provide an example of the type of volunteer service for NASW-Missouri Chapter you would be interested in participating in or performing.

4.  Please list any committees, task forces or boards you have served on or are serving on for the community or profession, and what position/title you hold/held. Please describe what duties or responsibilities are/were involved for that position.
