2008 POOL RULES

Management: A staff member will be on duty at the front and back pool at all times for your assistance. In addition, a representative from Wilgus Associates will be onsite at various times throughout the week to oversee the operations and address any problems or concerns. Check-In Procedures for both Pool & Tennis:

  • Everyone entering the pool or tennis areas must identify themselves to the staff attendant on duty and sign-in on the appropriate designated sheet.
  • The staff attendant on duty may at any time ask for identification from any individual.

Owners:

  • Owners must present a valid 2008 pool pass for admittance to the facilities.

Guests:

  • Must either be accompanied by an owner or be on a list supplied to Wilgus Associates Property indicating who will be utilizing their owner passes without the owner being present.
  • Any person not on a list as a guest will not be admitted to any BWRA facility unless they pay for a daily or weekly pass.
  • Owners who request to enter the pool facilities with more than ten (10) guests, including themselves, at one time, must purchase passes for every additional guest.

Renters:

  • Renters are defined as those individuals who make any type of payment or remuneration to an owner for the use and occupancy his/her home either privately or through a Rental Agency. This includes individuals occupying an owners’ home as the result of a charitable contribution.
  • Renters can purchase passes at the back pool only.
  • These passes will permit admission to any of the BWRA facilities at the designated times that the facilities are available to Renters.
  • It is the owner’s responsibility to provide this policy to any Realtor they may hire to assist in the rental of their home.

Pass Rates:

  • Daily rate is $6 per person
  • Weekly rate is$20 per person
  • Seasonally rate is $160 per person
  • Passes may be purchased at the back pool only

Pool Penalties:

  • Any owner who fails to provide a pass upon entry to any BWRA facility will be fined $10 per day until pass is provided.
  • Any owner who provides their passes to a renter will be fined in the amount of $10 per day per person who utilized an owner pass.
  • Any person who uses foul language or inappropriate behavior while interacting with a staff attendant will be denied access to the facilities for a one (1) week period from the date of the infraction. Any attempt to gain access will result in trespassing and the appropriate authorities will be contacted and prosecution may be sought by BWRA and its representatives.
  • A second offense for foul language or inappropriate behavior while interacting with a staff attendant will result in the loss of recreational privileges for the remainder of the season from the date of the infraction. Swim Attire:

  • Swimsuits must be worn at all times in the pool.
  • All swim attire must be in good taste.
  • No cut-offs or street clothes permitted in the pool.
  • All patrons requiring diapers must wear “swimmie” diapers, which are available for purchase, in toddler sizes, at the back pool.

Child Supervision:

  • All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult over 18 years of age. That adult must be in the pool, or at minimum, must sit at the edge while the child is in the pool.
  • The wading pools are limited to children under the age of 6 and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Water wings, baby tubes, life rings, etc. are only permitted on children if the parent or adult is present in the pool with them or at arm’s reach. The lifeguard reserves the right to amend this rule as needed.
  • Children are permitted to use water toys in the wading pools.

Pool Courtesies and Safety:

  • No rafts, floats, rings, balls, inner tubes or diving sticks are permitted in the pools, except during those times specified by the guards.
  • No radios are permitted in the pool area, except for use with earphones.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in the facility and pool area. A designated smoking area is available outside of each facility.
  • Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited at all times.
  • Towels may be hung on chairs, but please refrain from hanging towels and other garments on the fences.
  • No playing on the steps or handrails of the pool or on or around the pool ropes.
  • For your safety all deck furniture must be 10 feet from the edge of the pool.
  • A foot-wash is available at each facility and should be used before entering the pool area.
  • Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted in the pool area and recreation facility. Please dispose of trash in the proper trash receptacles and clean the tables appropriately after use.
  • NO glass containers permitted at any time.
  • No running, horseplay or use of offensive language is permitted at any time.

Adult Swim:

  • Adult swim sessions will be called at the discretion of the lifeguards throughout the season.

Lifeguards’ Use of Whistles and Time Outs:

  • Lifeguards will blow their whistles upon seeing rule infractions and will inform the child at fault as well as the parent or accompanying adult of the rule violation.
  • Repeated violations of the rules will result in time outs at the lifeguard stand.
  • Repeated requirements for time outs will result in suspension or loss of pool privileges.
