Banquet Facility Rental Agreement

THIS CONTRACT is between THE WATERFRONT, hereinafter called the “FACILITY and/or “THE WATERFRONT”” and ______, hereinafter called the “HOST”. The Facility agrees to lease to the Host, and the Host agrees to rent from Facility, The Waterfront located at 507 Biddle, Wyandotte, Michigan.

The facility can be rented between the hours of 7A.M. to Midnight of that day.All events must conclude by midnight.This includes clean up time.

Host agrees that a $500 deposit must be given upon execution of this contract and the full rent is payable in full 30 days in advance of Event. Host grants the Facility permission to charge rent due on provided credit card if balance is not paid by date due.The $500 deposit will be refunded after your event when the facility has been inspected by a manager and deemed satisfactory. This inspection will be done within 24 hours.The refund check will be held and mailed back to you within 15 business days

Our facility seats up to _____ people. If the event will be indoors this price includes use of the dance floor.

CANCELLATIONS: Host will incur a cancellation fee of $500.00 if Host cancels this Contract, for any reason, at least 30 days prior to Event. If Host cancels less than 30 days prior to the Event the entire amount of rent is non-refundable.

Should the Facility be un-usable for any reason, including fire or natural disaster, this Contract shall be terminated and The Waterfront shall refund the security deposit and any rent paid to the Host.

FOOD: No outside food may be brought into the facility. The Host or their guests cannot bring food or beverages into the FACILITY, unless pre-approved, in writing, by The Waterfront’s management. We assume no liability for this. Guests, hosts and Caterers cannot supply any alcohol. The menu for the event is attached as Exhibit A.

LINENS: We require all catered events to use linens on the tables. Fee $____

DECORATIONS: Any items, signs, displays or decorations used for an event must be preapproved by a manager. No decorations may be attached to any part of the facility that could scratch, leave holes, or cause damage in any way. No open flame candles. Any lighted candles must be contained in a globe. Floating candles may be used.

EARLY DECORATING: Is not allowed unless you rent the facilityfor the day prior to your event. “Smoke” and “bubble” machines are not permitted.

ANIMALS: No pets or animals, except helper or service dogs, are allowed in or around the Facility.

SMOKING: Smoking is“Not Allowed” inside the facility, on the patios or in the common areas.

ALCOHOL: A host or cash bar is available through The Waterfront. Any alcohol consumed in the facility must be purchased from The Waterfront and dispensed by a licensed bartender. Bartender cost is $12 per hour, per bartender, with one bartender required for every 100 guests. Requests for a bar must be made in writing a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the event. No beverages of any kind can be brought into the FACILITY by the Host or their guests. Any violation of this policy will mean immediate eviction from the facility and no money will be refunded to the Host.Underage drinking will not be tolerated under any circumstances! Any violation of this policy will mean immediate eviction from the Facility and the bar will be closed with no money being refunded to the Host.

The bar must close no later than 12:30 AM on Saturdays or 11:30 PM on Friday or Sundays. There are no pitchers or shots served after 11:00 PM

CLEANUP: General cleanup is the Host’s responsibility.

- The tables must be wiped off and returned to their original position.

- The floor must be free of debris.

- The trash must be bagged and placed in the dumpster.

These tasks must be completed by 9am the following day or earlier in the event that the facility is rented out again for an A.M. function. You will be billed at the rate of $10 per man-hour for any clean up that is not completed.

A credit card is required from the Host regardless of payment method.

We reserve the right to charge the credit card for any damage above and beyond the $200 deposit.

DAMAGE: Host agrees to keep Facility in good condition and shall not permit any unusual wear, damage, breakage or theft to occur. Host shall pay The Waterfront for any loss or liability incurred to the Facility during Event. This includes inside and the outside of the Facility. If there is liability in excess of the cash security deposit made by the Host, then Host authorizes The Waterfront to charge the amount of the excess cost to the credit card left with The Waterfront as additional security.

Host agrees that The Waterfront is not responsible for damage or loss of any item left in the Facility prior to and/or following the Event. Host agrees to indemnify and hold The Waterfront and its members, officers, owners, landlord and employees harmless from and against any and all losses, claims, damages, and liabilities to which The Waterfront may become subject because of this agreement.
