1). Minor Irrigation Programme- Maharashtra (MIP-M) :

Worked with GITEC Consult GmbH, Germany, in Technical Assistance Team(TAT), on this programme, funded by KfW, Germany, under which around 30 M. I. Schemes have been implemented on Farmers Participation Basis called PIDM(Participatory Irrigation Development & Management) involving various agencies/organisations such as [a]Farmers/WUA(Water Users Associations), [b]Govt. Departments/undertakings (Rural Development & Water Conservation, Irrigation, Irrigation Development Co-operations, Agriculture, Co-operation, Revenue, MSEDCL etc), [c]NGOs, [d]Financial Institutes(KfW, Commercial and co-operative banks, etc).

  • Won MERIT CERTIFICATE as mentioned above, for outstanding work done during 197576 on Kadvi and Kasari Irrigation Projects from Irrigation Department, Govt. of Maharashtra.
  • Prepared Report on Conversion of flow irrigation into drip irrigation for a Lift Irrigation Schemes in Dist. Sangli (Area 180 ha). This is the first-ever report of its kind, approved by NABARD(National Agricultural & Rural Development Bank) in the country. Was also instrumental to obtain the first ever water-lifting permission on conversion basis.
  • Received letter of Appreciation from Military Young Stock Farm, Pune in June 1995, for suggesting most economical schemes and completing the same.
