2016 Mathewson Bulldog Run

The Mathewson PTA is pleased to announce the 8th Annual Mathewson Bulldog Run. This event is intended to be our major of the year and is a fun and fit activity for our students. During this event, each student will walk or run on a predetermined course at their own pace during a 20-minute time slot for their class. This event will compliment Mathewson’s physical education curriculum, helping children achieve their personal best on the course. Drinks will be provided for each student, plus all participating students will receive a gift.
- Prizes will also be offered to our top fundraisers in each class, grade and overall, including a Free Birthday Party at the YMCA, Movie Passes and Gift Certificates to many local businesses. The class that raises the most, will get to silly string Principal Currier.
- All students who raise $75 or more will be entered into a raffle for additional exciting prizes including gift certificates to many local businesses.
Our goal is to help the PTA raise money to fund student activities. We have targeted to raise $16,000 from this event – which is $35per child for our school. We hope that each family will participate in the Bulldog Run to the best of its ability, making the Bulldog Run a successful fundraiser. Get yourchildactive and involved. Encourage him/her to approach family members for support using the attached pledge sheet. Feel free to make additional copies as needed. DO NOT ALLOW children to solicit door-to-door. Thank you very much for your participation!
Guidelines
1.Students may start collecting pledges as soon as they receive the pledge sheets. Reminder: Pledge sheets and donations need to be turned in on Bulldog Run day, Friday, September 30, 2016. Please return all money in a sealed envelope with the student name. You can donate securely at myschoolbucks.com or via check. NO CASH PLEASE.
2.Pledges may be made by anyone; however, participants may not ask for pledges from any of the staff members of Mathewson Elementary School.
3.Each sponsor making a pledge should write their own name, phone number and pledge amount. Students must collect the pledges in advance.We can accept online payments at myschoolbucks.com or by check made payable to Mathewson PTA. All donations are tax-deductible.
4.On the day of the Bulldog Run, each class will walk/run during a specified time period on our field.
5.Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately. Sneakers are recommended.
