Saints Peter and Paul PTG will be sponsoring its first Fish Fry of the school year on Friday, September 13th in the school cafeteria. Last year our fish fries raised over $16,000 for SSPP. The monthly dinners were well received by our school community and the parish/local communities. Each class will be assigned three fish fries during the year and families of students in those grades will be asked to provide donations and volunteer for their assigned fish fries. If you have more than one child, we suggest that you choose the classroom with the fewest children to support (you may also choose to support more than one classroom but our expectations are three fish fries per family).

Grades K/3/8 have been assigned to the September 13th Fish Fry. Below is a list of donation items that are needed for this fish fry. Sam’s Club, Costco, Wal-Mart, and Aldi have most of these items available at reasonable prices. Donated items should be dropped off at the school no later than Wednesday, September 11th. If the items are perishable, please inform the office. Monetary donations are also appreciated. Please make checks payable to SSPP PTG and forward it to the office in an envelope marked “FISH FRY”. In addition, we are looking for 2 halushki makers. The school has roasting pan inserts that you can use to transport the halushki from your kitchen to the cafeteria. It would need to be dropped off by noon on the day of the fish fry.

Please consider volunteering as we need help with preparation the day before the fish fry and volunteers to help during the fish fry. Below are the shifts with the number of volunteers needed in parentheses:

Students from grade 8 can volunteer to serve patrons after school.

Due to the short notice and so that we can keep track of donated items and volunteers, please e mail me ASAP at with the items/quantity you can donate, the times you can volunteer, and your child’s class. If you are unable to work during this fish fry, you will be asked to volunteer at one of the others assigned to your child’s class.
