The following are the accepted qualifications for persons to be registered as trainers within the SFL. Please note that that any accreditation listed below must be current.

- S.M.A. Level 1
- S.M.A. Level 2
- Sports First Aid
- Advanced First Aid
- First Aid Trainer / Instructor
- Workplace First Aid – Level 2
- Workplace First Aid – Level 3
- Advanced Workplace
- First Aid – Level 2
- First Aid – Level 3
- St Johns Ambulance
- Ambulance Paramedic – Level 2
- St Johns, Red Cross and Ambulance – Level 2
- St Johns, Red Cross and Ambulance – Level 3
