*Hymn No. 215 Come, Ye Faithful, Raise the Strain

Call to Celebration (A Responsive Reading)

Leader: We come again to celebrate resurrection.

God gives us new birth into a living hope.

People: Death has no power over us.

Christ goes before us in the new life God offers.

Leader: Blessed be the God of our Savior Jesus Christ!

Our faith, tested by fire, is renewed.

People: Our hearts are glad, our souls rejoice.

God shows us the path of life.

Leader: Again, Jesus says to us: Peace be with you.

Come to receive life in Christ’s name.

People: We rejoice in God’s amazing good news.

In God’s presence, we find fullness of joy.

*Opening Prayer (Unison)

Almighty God, we gather together this morning to say, “We believe.” We cast our doubts at the foot of the cross and at the mouth of the empty tomb. We’re here to have our faith strengthened and our hopes renewed. Meet us as we come together to worship the One who died, but who now lives. Amen.

*Response No. 35 Gloria Patri

Pastoral prayer ~ silent prayer

Our lord’s prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Response No. 555 Through It All

Through it all, through it all, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God; through it all, through it all, I’ve learned to depend upon God’s word.
