Course Description: (Semester Course) The goal of this American Government class is to offer all students with the basic understanding of how our government was created, how it has evolved into what we know now, and how the American governmental process operates. We are affected in many ways every day by our government, education, health, careers, personal finances, religion, family, and many more. It is our responsibility to take part and educate ourselves about our country and how it is ran. At the completion of this course you will have a better understanding of our government and how it functions.

Course Requirements:

1. Successfully complete and pass the course.

2. Successfullypass the U.S. Constitution test (mandatory for graduation.)

3. Successfully pass the Missouri Constitution test (mandatory for graduation.)

4. Successfully complete an End of Course Exam that is worth 10% of your final grade.

  • Assignments Due, all assignments are expected to be done on time and complete. If assignment is turned in incomplete it will be handed back to student for completion and be treated as a late assignment. If student does not have a chance card left than assignment will be accepted at teachers discretion but with a reduction in points.

100-94% = A86-89% = B76-73% = C66-63% = D

93-90% = A-82-80% = B-72-70% = C-62-60% = D-

89-87% = B+79-77% = C+69-67% = D+59% > = F
