Homework: Homework for each chapter and their due dates are listed on the next page. There is no make up for the homework assignments. If you are going to be absent the day that homework is due, you need to arrange for someone to bring your homework to the class.
Homework assignments have to be written neatly on a 8.5X11 paper and STAPLED together. Unstapled or ineligible assignments will not be graded.
Pop Quizzes: Quizzes will be given on the days that the homework assignments are due and will be similar to one of the homework problems. In addition, unannounced short pop quizzes will be given throughout the semester. Only those present at time that quiz is distributed can participate. There will be no make up for any of the quizzes.
Exams: There are three mid-term exams and one final exam. Your score for each exam will be normalized to the highest score in the class.
Grade: Homework 1 PTS for each HW, 18% of the total grade
Quizzes 10 PTS each, 17% of the total grade
Mid-exams 150 PTS each, 45% of the total grade
Final exam 150 PTS, 20% of the total grade
Each student’s grade will be based on the following break-ups:
90 to 100 A
80 to 90 B
70 to 80 C
60 to 70 D
0 to 59 F
