Your job is to research and create a teachable lesson (using power point, prezi, or any other type of technology friendly teaching device) to teach the class about one of the following topics:

Step one: Choose a group, up to four members. No more, no less. (Unless we run out of people) THIS IS A GROUP WORK ASSIGNMENT. TREAT IT AS SUCH.

Two: Choose a topic. First come, first serve. Whoever can choose a group and notify the teacher first gets the desired topic. Make sure you have a 2nd and 3rd back up choice incase yours is taken.

  1. Fashion in 1790’s (men, women, and children)
  2. Education in the 1790’s (school)
  3. Pop Culture in the 1790’s (plays, books, paintings)
  4. Technology in the 1790’s (Was there any? Where were we in terms of technological developments)
  5. Fun facts about the 1790’s (any and all)
  6. Politics in the 1790’s (How did we function as a democracy? President and so on?)
  7. Geography of the United States in the 1790’s (What did the states look like, what was going on?)
  8. Social Life in the 1790’s (what did people do for fun)

Three: Research and develop a 3-5 minute presentation for the class. It is due Wednesday October 17th, 2012. Be ready to speak in front of the classroom to present your presentation. Everyone must speak once.

Four: Save your presentation on a computer friendly device. Flash drive; e-mail it to me () so it can be opened at school! It is not the teacher’s responsibility to make sure the program or presentation opens, prepare for the worst in the case! Always have backups!

*Note: To use Prezi you will need to make a free student account. Go to www.prezi.com and follow the new student procedures. This may require an .edu address. If all else fails, make a cool power point.
