NOTICE OF PROPOSED NON-HISTORIC USE PRODUCTION PERMITS
AND PUBLIC HEARING
The Southern Trinity Groundwater Conservation District (“District”) proposes action on applications for Non-Historic Use Production Permits (“NHUPPs”), which would authorize the permittees to withdraw groundwater from the Brazos River Alluvium or Trinity Aquifers, in the Hensell & Hosston Zones, according to the terms and conditions set forth in the proposed permits. A copy of the general manager’s proposed action, the proposed NHUPPs and technical summaries are available for public inspection at the District’s offices at 420 North 6th Street, Waco, Texas Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-12 p.m.
The District will conduct a public hearing pursuant to its authority under Chapter 8821 of the Texas Special District Local Laws Code, Chapter 36 of the Texas Water Code and the District’s rules, to consider issuance of the proposed NHUPPs and to provide interested members of the public the opportunity to appear and provide oral or written comments to the District regarding the proposed permits at the following date, time and place:

An NHUPP is proposed to be granted to the following entities as follows:
Sanderson Farms, Inc. filed an application numbered NHUPP-2016-016 with the District on 8/23/2016 requesting a maximum annual amount of groundwater withdrawal from the Trinity Aquifer in the Hosston Zone of 1600.00 acre-feet (521,361,600 Gallons) for industrial use pumped from wells located at the following latitude/longitude:

The NHUPP proposed by the District for Sanderson Farms, Inc. has a maximum annual amount of groundwater withdrawal from the Trinity Aquifer of 397.04 acre-feet (129,375,881.04 Gallons).
McGregor Naval Weapons Industrial Reserve Plant filed an application numbered NHUPP-2016-017 with the District on 8/26/2016 requesting a maximum annual amount of groundwater withdrawal from the Trinity Aquifer in the Hensell Zone of 500 acre-feet (162,925,500 Gallons) for municipal use pumped from wells located at the following latitude/longitude:

The NHUPP proposed by the District for the McGregor NWIRP has a maximum annual amount of groundwater withdrawal from the Trinity Aquifer of 274.8959acre-feet (89,575,103.91 Gallons).
Coryell City Water Supply District filed an application numbered NHUPP-2016-018 with the District on 8/30/2016 requesting a maximum annual amount of groundwater withdrawal from the Trinity Aquifer in the Hosston Zone of 200 acre-feet (65,170,200 Gallons) for municipal use pumped from wells located at the following latitude/longitude:

Bar V Holdings, Inc. filed an application numbered NHUPP-2016-020 with the District on 8/31/2016 requesting a maximum annual amount of groundwater withdrawal from the Trinity Aquifer in the Hosston Zone of 1,058 acre-feet (344,750,358 Gallons) for agricultural use pumped from wells located at the following latitude/longitude.

Russell’s Pecans, Inc. filed an application numbered NHUPP-2016-021 with the District on 9/30/2016 requesting a maximum annual amount of groundwater withdrawal from the Brazos River Alluvium Aquifer of 834.8864 acre-feet (272,048,568.33 Gallons) for irrigation use pumped from wells located at the following latitude/longitude:

The NHUPP proposed by the District for Russell’s Pecans, Inc. has a maximum annual amount of groundwater withdrawal from the Trinity Aquifer of 815 acre-feet (265,568,565 Gallons).
NHUPP applicant or affected persons may file a written request for a contested case hearing on the proposed NHUPPs with the District by no later than October 13, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. If no timely requests for contested case hearing are filed, the applications will be presented to the District on the date of the hearing for final action.
