Isaiah 41:29Behold, they are all vanity; their works are nothing: their molten images are wind and confusion.

“Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” (Psalm 2:12)

Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction...

...and many there be which go in there at: … (Matthew 7:13)

I watched me stumbling rough terrain

The path I took me in

Thinking to find pleasure

Betrothing the tempter’s den

Down the hilltop of his mount

And into him I fled

Through the trenches of his heart

Into perdition’s bed

I found me there without his care

Lonely, sad, confounded

I love you, you, you, echoed me

Desertion’s cavity resounded

While searching for a place to run

I found me thrashing wind

To blissful ignorance I’d resigned

Utterly deaf amongst the din

Plundering there within my heart

Desperate to rob its gold

I believing a god was found

Fomented a retched soul

It found me there unaware

With weapons to deceive

Were it the guise of sweetest words

Or lust fed me this disease?

I awakened to my life

A haunt of many years

Where I had planted darkened grain

Came harvested crop of fears

I felt You there… A consuming Presence in the air

Unconfined to time or space

An awesome Presence filled the room

And wooed me with Your grace

Surely, the fullness would reveal

Though You never would

So wondering at Your watching

Sought the moment when I could

[Know You]

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee,”

Came message in a dream:

“Because thou hast left thy first love.”

(I Tim 4; Revs 2:2-4)

More clear than rushing stream.

Acquiesced to earthly love

Which tossed me in the wind

Feigning finding others’ arms

Confusion does not amend.

By me You stayed close

Open book to a decree

A penlight shown on the words

“Take my yoke upon you, learn of me…”

(Matthew 11:25-30)

I faltered through each day

Still holding to the past

That morbid and utter dreary day

One moment my only mast…

I sought it night and day

Held it close to heart

Drawing pictures in my mind

Its vows to never part…

God looked down upon me

Arms stretched wide to nudge

Frowning upon my weaknesses

Replete with scarlet smudge (Jude 1:20-25)

I was there before I knew it

Hard and fast my downfall came

I faltered weak, downtrodden

No wisdom to constrain

You touched me yet again

A day when things were low

I felt as if there was no hope

Down this filthy, constant road….

(Isaiah 59:1-16)

God dressed in His armor

Standing high above the ground

I saw His figure majestic

Cleansing waters all around …

(Isaiah 59:17-21)

You were pursuing me, (Luke 19:10; Luke 15:4-7)

Had been all along

Letting me know, “I am here”

A rescue from the throng.

YOU … only You… cover me

Truer love cannot avail

No vesture finer to compare

The contrast insipid, and pale

The talons held me captive

But soon were cut away…

You arranged, paid for release

From transgression’s strong decay

Sentenced with two others to die

Three tiers down death’s gate

They entered, then me

Submerging to our fate

With each descent I held my breath

Oh, what’s to come of this

Trembling as I passed through two

To death I must submit

God pursued ‘til I surrendered

In green pastures I lie down

That’s how much He loves me

My Lord, My Love, My Crown

I didn’t have to search for Him

He knew just where to seek

Through dark passage of my heart

And the plunder of my breach

Providing glimpses of Himself

Seen from my contravened perch

He, the Savior, never left

Never stymied by my dearth

What must I render

To such a Deliverer as this

My mind, soul, life in death

Where find a better tryst?

I sought wind and confusion

God faithfully me pursued

Found weak, exposed and beaten

My tempter He subdued

What shall I render to such Love

What have I to give?

He asks I proclaim His Name to others

Who, pursuing death… desire to live.

The poem, “The Wind and Confusion I Pursued,” is a testimony of one girl’s walk with sin. God never left her alone! She began to recognize Him in her life but kept falling deeper into the false dreams she created for herself. She was lost in the outpouring of the enemy’s indifference. She lost sight of who she was in Christ and the goals she wanted to achieve.

Her struggle was so bitter that her whole life was colored with its darkness and she couldn’t seem to reason her way out of it or see past the dark, lonely road she had chosen until one day, so lost, alone and distraught, she cried out, “What have I done with my life?” The Lord brought her to that crossroad and it was His love that made her see that she needed a Savior. She needed to learn of Him and order her life accordingly; to allow Him to turn her life around, to save her from her own choices.

God pursues us to the point of making a decision. How low you go is entirely up to you. Answer early or tarry long. God will take you into His arms, cleanse you, no longer impute sin, and nurture your new character and likeness to His likeness.

One day at a time and one choice at a time. He will surround you with mercy and grace, change you, mold you, make you suitable to become the Bride of Christ NOW and when He returns for His Bride, without spot or wrinkle; the Church. Aivoneg

God’s Covenant to His People:

(Hebrews 10:16-31... 37-39)

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised); And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden underfoot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that has said, Vengeance belongs unto me, I will recompense, says the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but, if any man draws back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads to life...

...few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:14)
