Events for 2017/2018

Participation in a minimum of 5 catechetical events through Worship, Catechesis, Community Life or Service to be eligible for Summer Religious Education in 2018.

School Year 2017-2018!

Service activity:Participate in a service activity through the parish or on one’s own or as a family.

Year round:Attend a Baptism, First Eucharist, Confirmation, Marriage Ceremony, Ordination, Funeral Service. Reconciliation available on Saturdays at 3:00pm and on the Wednesdays of Lent 6:30-8:00pm beginning February 21, 2018.

January-December:Altar Server (grades 4-12)

September-May:Children’s Choir (grades K-8)

September 30:St. Vincent de Paul Walkathon for the Poor at 9:00am at IC

October-May: Youth Masses5:00pm open to all and geared toward teensfollowed by Service Learning once a month 6-7:30pm between Holy Redeemer (Church of the Nativity) 4 Green St. Merrimac and IC:

  • September 24—Holy Redeemer
  • October 29—IC
  • December 10—IC with Service Learning Experience after Mass for Teens
  • January 28—Holy Redeemer
  • March 4—IC
  • March 258—Holy Redeemer with Potluck Supper after Mass for families

1st Reconciliation/Eucharist Orientation and session on Reconciliation—October 15 at 1:00pm

1st Reconciliation session for candidate/parent October 29 at 4:00pm with Youth Mass at 5pm.

1st Reconciliation Prayer Service and Retreat for families—December 9 11am-12:30pm

Tour of the Church-January 7from 1-3pm (snow date of January 21)from 1-3pm

Teaching Mass—March 11from 1:00-2:30pm

Mini-Retreat-March 25 from 1:00-3:00pm

July 2018:Steubenville East for HS youth at UMass Lowell
