Response (1) and (2)

3.1) Mr. D. K. Rowlands left the room whilst this application was discussed. The previous application was withdrawn as no habitat survey had been done. The survey has now been done and no protected species were found. There has been a lot of public interest in this application; most are concerned that it will open up a way for more development. Parish Council opinion is unchanged from the previous application. Letters from the previous application should still be considered. The land frequently becomes waterlogged and the soak away flows straight into the River Gowy within 20 minutes. The Parish Council shares the concerns of the residents and stands by its original objections.

4) Proposed King Street Gas Storage Development – Northwich Cheshire.

The response would have been easier if the maps had been legible. It is hoped that no more pipelines would go through Mickle Trafford. The construction traffic should be routed to cause minimum disruption.

5) Consultation on Draft Supplementary Planning Document: Tarvin Village Design Statement.

Where housing is developed in villages a good proportion of it should be affordable by local families. Affordable housing should be allocated on a planned basis and not on an opportunist basis. Affordable housing should be part of planning on a bigger scale with an economic mix of housing.

DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETING

It was agreed, the next meeting would be held on the 7th May 2007 at 7.30pm in the village hall.
