- Living History Cruise - this special cruise will have a detailed discussion of the significance of Lock 17 in Little Falls, New York, once the highest lift lock in the world. After traveling through the lock, we will arrive at the Historic General Herkimer Home where we will have lunch. Then we will tour the historic site followed by an 18th century chocolate making demonstration by costumed re-enactors. Once your appetite for history is satisfied, we’ll cruise back through Lock 17 and back to the marina.
- Herkimer Diamond Mines - the treasures mined here are “Herkimer diamonds” - really faceted quartz crystals with points at both ends, and this is supposedly one of the few places in the world where they can be found.
- Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum - The Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum welcomes the young at heart! Housed in the National Register listed Allan Herschell Carrousel Factory building, this attraction has exhibits, demonstrations, two antique carousels, a children's gallery, gift shop and more.
- Vidler’s 5 & Dime Store - With two levels and occupying four connected 19th century buildings, it is possibly one of the largest 5 & Dime variety stores you’ll ever see. You’ll be taking a trip down memory lane as you walk across the wooden floors to buy a 10¢ bag of popcorn.
