DBE Building Projects

VA Schools

2018-19 LCVAP Grant Funding

Overview and introduction

LCVAP funding for capital projects at VA schools is allocated following formal discussions with the authority, other VA responsible bodies and following formal approval of the ODBE Board.

Its primary purpose is to address priority building condition matters. Projects that can demonstrate that they address issues of expansion or development to support growth are also considered.

Application process

Schools that wish to apply for funding should complete the form below and return along with associated documents to the Premises Team at ODBE. Email submissions to are preferred.

If sending by post, please mail to Church House Oxford, Langford Locks, Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1GF.

In order to be considered in time, applications should be received no later than 27th November 2017.

Please note that due to the number of applications received and limitations of funding it is not usually possible to support all projects.

Timescales for decisions

It is hoped that we will be able to confirm whether schools have been successful with project bids in March 2018. However, this is dependent on the timing of announcements by ESFA of the funding available.

To note: The ESFA have yet to make any announcement on capital funding from April 2018 onwards. Whilst it is assumed that the principles of the LCVAP programme will remain the same as previous years, this has not been confirmed. We will share details with schools as soon as we are able.
