American Society of Military Comptrollers- Deadline March 18, 2011

The Jersey Chapter of the ASMC will be recognizing outstanding high school seniors for academic achievement. Applicant must be a high school senior, must be entering a field of study directly related to finance/resource management, economics, accounting etc. See guidance for an application.

****Brick Township Chamber of Commerce- Deadline April2, 2010

All awards are open to Brick Township Chamber of Commerce members, their employees and the children of either, and are for qualified, continuing post-secondary education. Three awards are career specific: one is for a student pursuing a health related career; one will be awarded to a student in the architectural, construction, engineering or interior design fields and one is for a student pursing an education in music. Applicant must major in Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Conservation, Forestry, Botany, Agronomy, Plant Pathology, Environmental Science, City Planning, Land Management, and/or related subjects. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to one winner. See Guidance for an application.

First Financial Foundation- Deadline March 31, 2010

Jersey Shore will award (4) 1,000 scholarships, two to each graduation seniors in the areas of football and cheerleading/dance. You must have participated at the Jersey Shore Pop Warner level for at least one year in the football or cheerleading squad and plan to attend an accredited college/university in the fall. Master Gardener Association of Ocean County- Deadline April 1, 2011 by 4:00 pm

MAYFLOWER SCHOLARSHIP – DEADLINE MARCH 15, 2011

NJ resident, studying US History or related field, 4 year school SAT/ACT 75th percentile

Monmouth University Science Achievement Scholarship:

For a graduate from MATES who meets the following criteria: Interested in pursuing a degree within the School of Science, Technology and Engineering, Minimum GPA of a 3.0 and an 1100 SAT combined critical reading and math. MATES student who receive this award w ill receive 4,000 per year and are also eligible for Monmouth Universities competitive scholarship program which offers awards up to 15,000. New Jersey Burglar and Fire Alarm Association- Deadline March 15, 2011

Two Scholarships in the amount of $1500 and $1,000 for highly qualified seniors. Your parent or guardian must be in active duty for the police or fire. See guidance for details.

New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome- Deadline March 26, 2011

The NJ Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders, Inc. announces that it has received private contributions for a 2010 Scholarship Award to a New Jersey High School Senior diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. See guidance for details.

New Jersey Chromic Fatigue Syndrome Association Scholarship- Due April 15, 2011.

This Scholarship is awarded in the amount of $1,000 to a graduating senior who has been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. The scholarship is available by download on their website at

New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association- Deadline April 15, 2010 to Guidance

NJPSA is providing (25) $2,500 scholarships to graduating seniors for their demonstrated leadership in school activities other than athletics. You must submit an essay to Guidance and from there one name will be nominated. See Guidance for more details.

The New Jersey Retirees’ Education Association- DEADINE April 14, 2011

-Four Year Scholarship Award- Elizabeth M Hickman Award- This is a $1, 000 award for any senior who graduates from a NJ school, top 10% of their class, and has been accepted to a four year institution.

-Two year Community College Scholarship Award-This award is for $500 for any senior who graduates from a NJ school, 2.5 GPA or higher, and has been accepted to a two year institution.

Ocean First- Deadline March 1, 2011 and May 15th, 2011

Ocean First Foundation is pleased to announce a new scholarship opportunity for high school seniors graduating this year that are planning to attend Ocean County College, Brookdale Community College, Georgian Court University or Monmouth University. The deadline for OCC and BCC is may 15th and the deadline for GCU and MU is March 1, 2011. ****SAPA Scholarship and Excellence in Education- Deadline April 30, 2011

The SAPA scholarship and Excellence in Education for Life Sciences Foundation is a national non-profit organization dedicated to recognize and support excellence on outstanding high school students, and to encourage the finest high school graduates to develop a career in Life Sciences. To be considered a SAPA scholar, a student must: be a high school senior who plans to attend a four year accredited college/university; have a GPA above a 3.3, a minimum SAT score of 2000 and be in the top ten of their class; and be a US citizen. Stew Tweed Fisheries and Aquaculture Scholarship Fund- Deadline March 31, 2011

New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium, NJMSC/NJSGEP and its New Jersey Sea Grant Extension Program has established a scholarship fund to honor the memory of Stew Tweed who worked as a Marine Agent for the New Jersey Sea Grant Extension Service between 1978 and 2005. Two scholarships will be awarded annually to support one graduating high-school senior ($1,000) and one undergraduate/graduate student ($1,500) pursuing studies, or an outstanding research or technology project focusing on fisheries or aquaculture.
