Where: Ballard Golf and Country Club – approx. 1 mile north of Huxley on US 69

Time: 4:30 – Jr. High boys 5:40 – JV girls

4:45 – Jr. High girls 6:00 – Class C & D boys

5:00 – Class C & D girls 6:20 – Class A & B boys

5:20 – Class A & B girls 6:40 – JV boys

Format: Again this year we are going to have 4 classes. Class C & D will be run together, as well as Class A & B. Varsity races will be run as last year. Runners in both classes will finish in same chutes (see map). Runners will be separated for presenting medals and for team scoring.

Distance: 2 miles – Jr. High boys & girls

4K – girls

5K – boys

Awards: We will use a 4 class system. The largest schools will be in the Class “A”and the smallest schools

will be in the Class “D”. First place team trophy in all varsity classisfications.

Seventeen medals for each varsity race – 10 medals in JV girls race, 10 medals in JV boys. Ribbons to all remaining varsity runners and first 50 JV runners in each race.

Fee: $55 – girls (includes varsity & JV)

$55 – boys (includes varsity & JV)

$12 – individuals

$35 – middle school (cost covers both boys & girls)

Dressing: Please dress at home. The clubhouse will be closed. Portable toilets will be available. You may want to go to the high school when you arrive to use the rest rooms and then go to the golf course.

Scoring: Boys’ teams enter seven, score five in varsity races. Others run JV. Girls’ teams will run seven and score five. Other members may run JV.

Rosters: C-Mac Running Service will do the scoring for this year’s meet. ** TEAM ROSTERS for HS & MS will be entered via the web site www.theendresultco.com/xc/ by coaches. Please do this by Wed. Sept. 10, 2014.

Course: Same as last year. Copy of map included and can also be found on Ballard Web Page.

Comments: There will be a large envelope for you when you arrive with a map, etc. Remind your runners we start each race on time even if the previous race is not finished. Please remind your runners to stay off the greens and to pick up all trash at the conclusion of the meet.

Admission: Adults - $2.00 Student - $1.00

Parking: Important - Please see attached letter and make copies for your spectators.

Weather: Weather related items – please check our web site – www.ballard.k12.ia.us – if we have weather issues (lightening etc.) that cause a need to take shelter, we will sound an alarm from the club house area. If this happens, we ask athletes to return to their respective busses. Spectators can return to their cars, catch a shuttle bus or use an open building on the course for cover.

Results - - Team and overall results will be posted at www.FitnessSports.com within 24 hours of the meet (usually the evening of the meet).
