The Hawksburn Tennis Club (“the Club”) requires the information requested on this form to provide you with Club membership, to receive timely and relevant information and communications related to tennis, and for related purposes which can be reasonably expected. Your personal information is required by Tennis Victoria to provide you with registration benefits and for related purposes which can be reasonably expected. Unless written permission is given no personal information will be passed on to third parties.

You are able to access your personal information through the Club or Tennis Victoria after receiving your Tennis ID from Tennis Vic . Except where permitted or required by law, or where your consent is obtained, this information will not be disclosed to third parties.

By-Laws

  1. All players shall appear on the court in approved tennis attire.
  2. The International Tennis Federation regulates the Rules of Tennis.These rules are available on the ITF website; please go to the ITF website for a complete version of the Rules of Tennis.
  3. Courts are for the general use of members. Visitors must pay court fees applicable.
  4. Doubles have preference over singles when all courts are in use and players are waiting.
  5. All players must vacate a court on completion of each six game set when all courts are in use and players are waiting.
  6. Club days are Saturday and Sunday from around 1PM and public holidays. All play and all courts will be available for social tennis. To play on club days players must have reached a standard acceptable to the Committee. Club days are intended primarily for the benefit of club members.
  7. Court maintenance as displayed to be observed by all members and visitors.
  8. Only financial members of the club may represent it in competition teams. Only financial club members may compete in Club Championship events.
  9. The annual fees and subscriptions and other charges as determined at the Annual General Meeting shall be prominently displayed in the Clubhouse.
  10. Members with guests may use the courts throughout the year when they are not required for competition purposes or organized club play, preference being given to members.
  11. Balls will be supplied by the Club on all Club days. Ball money is payable prior to play. At all other times tennis balls are the players own responsibility.
  12. Disputes – If there is any dispute as to the interpretation of the By-Laws and / or rules of play, those Committee members present shall determine the outcome of such dispute.
  13. Boys and girls under the age of sixteen years are entitled to play when the courts are not required by other members. Children under twelve years should not have access to the courts or clubhouse without supervision of an adult member.
