FIFTEENTH HOUSE DISTRICT

Fifteenth. All of Page and Shenandoah Counties; part of Rockingham County comprised of the Lacey Spring (105) and Tenth Legion (106) Precincts and part of the Plains (107) Precinct; and part of Warren County comprised of the Bentonville (502), Browntown (504), Fork Town (101), Otterburn (102), and Waterlick (103) Precincts.

Precincts shall be interpreted to refer to those in existence on April 1, 2011, and as reported by the United States Bureau of the Census in the 2010 Census reports provided pursuant to United States Public Law 94-171, notwithstanding subsequent changes made by localities.

The following descriptions are provided for information purposes only pursuant to § 30-264 of the Code of Virginia. The provisions of § 24.2-304.03 of the Code of Virginia, including the statistical report referenced in and on file with the Clerk of the House of Delegates, shall be controlling in any legal determination of the district boundary.

A. Part of Rockingham County line described as follows:

  1. Beginning at the point where North Mountain Road (State Route 613) intersects the Rockingham County-Shenandoah County boundary
  1. southwest on North Mountain Road to Vetters Road (State Route 790)
  1. southeast and then northeast on Vetters Road to an unnamed road approximately 80 feet east of the point where Vetters Road crosses Turner Run
  1. south on said unnamed road approximately 280 feet to an unnamed trail, the southern boundary of census block 511650109001049
  1. northeast on said trail approximately 700 feet to a point
  1. southwest on said trail approximately 975 feet to Bowman Orchard Lane
  1. northeast on Bowman Orchard Lane to Vetters Road (State Route 790)
  1. southeast on Vetters Road to Andrick Mill Road (State Route 789/790)
  1. northeast on Andrick Mill Road to Getz Drive (State Route 790 continued)
  1. southeast on Getz Drive to Spar Mine Road (State Route 617)
  1. east on Spar Mine Road to the corporate limits of the Town of Timberville
  1. clockwise on said corporate limits to the point where the Norfolk Southern Railway joins the southwestern corporate limits
  1. southwest on the Norfolk Southern Railway to the northern corporate limits of the Town of Broadway
  1. clockwise on said corporate limits to Springbrook Road
  1. east on Springbrook Road to Daphna Road (State Route 803)
  1. south on Daphna Road to a point approximately 1500 feet north of Lacey Spring Road (State Route 806)
  1. southeast on a line approximately 1.5 miles to a point on Lacey Spring Road approximately 85 feet southeast of its intersection with Lacey Lane
  1. northeast and then southeast on Lacey Spring Road to North Valley Pike (United States Highway 11)
  1. southwest on North Valley Pike to Martz Road
  1. east on Martz Road to Mountain Valley Road (State Route 620)
  1. south on Mountain Valley Road to a point approximately 250 feet north of its intersection with Ragtown Road
  1. southeast in a line approximately 1.65 miles to a point on Massanutten Mountain between Third Mountain and Fourth Mountain, approximately 885 feet southeast of the point where said line crosses Mountain Run
  1. north on a line approximately one mile to the point where the Page County and Rockingham County, boundaries join
  1. northeast on the Page County-Rockingham County boundary to the Rockingham County-Shenandoah County boundary
  1. northwest on the Rockingham County-Shenandoah County boundary to North Mountain Road (State Route 613), the point of beginning

B. Part of Warren County contained within a line described as follows:

  1. Beginning at the point where Strasburg Road (State Highway 55) intersects the Shenandoah County-Warren County boundary
  1. east on Strasburg Road to the western corporate limits of the Town of Front Royal
  1. counterclockwise in a southerly direction on said corporate limits to a point on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, being part of the corporate limits, where an extension of Kendrick Lane northwest from its intersection with Adams Avenue on a line approximately 1500 feet would intersect the river
  1. southeast on said extension, the northeast boundary of census blocks 511870204003009 and 511870204003016, to the intersection of Kendrick Lane and Adams Avenue
  1. southeast on Kendrick Lane to West 6th Street
  1. east on West 6th Street and then East 6th Street to North Commerce Avenue (United States Highway 522)
  1. south on North Commerce Avenue to East Main Street
  1. west on East Main Street to Royal Avenue (United States Highway 340/State Highway 55)
  1. south on South Royal Avenue to West Criser Street, also being part of the southern corporate limits of the Town of Front Royal
  1. west on said corporate limits to the South Fork of the Shenandoah River
  1. southwest on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River to Dry Run
  1. southeast on Dry Run to the western boundary of Shenandoah National Park at a point approximately 2700 feet west of Skyline Drive
  1. south on said Park boundary, following the western boundary of census block 511870207001080, to an unnamed road on the south bank of Lands Run, said road being the northern boundary of census block 511870207001089
  1. northeast on said unnamed road, following the northern boundary of census block 511870207001089, to Skyline Drive at Lands Run Gap
  1. southeast on Skyline Drive to the Rappahannock County-Warren County boundary
  1. clockwise southwest, then northwest, and then northeast on the Warren County boundary to Strasburg Road (State Highway 55), the point of beginning
