Option 1: Staff Development Presentation

You are in charge of presenting a back-to-school staff development presentation on the topic of effective decision making to new teacher leaders in your school district.

Create a 10-to15-slide presentation using a multimedia tool of your choice.

Develop a 1-page handout on your presentation.

Address the following in your presentation and handout:

  • Describe decision-making models andhighlightthe strengths and weaknesses of each.
  • Explain your own decision-making style and reflect on your style in working effectively with othersat your school.
  • Provide information to teacher leaders on self-assessing their own decision-making style.
  • Includea scenario where a teacher leader needs to make a decision that deals with an ethical issue. Use a decision-making model to demonstrate one way to handle this situation.
  • Describe the benefits of having trained facilitators, such as teacher leaders, to guide the decision-making process.

Include detailed speakers notes with your presentation.

Option 2: Brochure or Newsletter

You are asked to create a school brochure or newsletter on decision-making models thatwill provide consistent models and strategies throughout the school district. The intent of this publication will be for internal use within the school district.

Create a1,050-to1,400-word school brochure or newsletter.

Present a final product that is visually engaging and may be distributed over the school website or printed as a hard copy to be used by administrators and staff in the school district.

Address the following in your newsletter:

  • Describe decision-making models and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each.
  • Provide information on how to self-assess decision-making styles.
  • Explain how to utilize decision-making styles to work effectively with others

Option 3: Proposal for Staff Training
