2017 CFC AND FAMILY MINISTRIES

EUROPEAN MEGA CONFERENCE

The British Icons Variety Show Competition

29th of July, 2017

Dear Brethren,

Greetings in Christ!

As we continue to be firm in our faith in working in God’s vineyard, our Lord constantly affirms us of His unconditional love for all of us. To celebrate God’s mercy and blessings, we would like to rejoice and spend a night of elegance and grace like The Royal Ascot, which isthe most famous race meeting in Europe and dates back to 1711 when it was founded by Queen Anne. Every year Royal Ascot is attended by HM Elizabeth II and various members of the British Royal Family such as The Prince of Wales, arriving each day in a horse-drawn carriage with the Royal procession taking place at the start of each race day and the raising of the Queen's Royal Standard. It is a major event in the British social calendar, and press coverage of the attendees and what they are wearing often exceeds coverage of the actual racing.

Ladies are required to dress in a manner appropriate for a smart occasion. Many wear hats, although this is not obligatory. Gentlemen are required to wear a shirt and tie, preferably with a suit or jacket. Sports attire, jeans and shorts are not permitted.

There would be no “Horse Racing” but instead, an exciting variety presentation competition, celebrating British Icons will be performed by each country. Guidelines are as follows:

  1. There should be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 40 mixed participants from different family ministries.
  2. The presentation should not be more than 5 minutes. 3 points will be deducted for every 5 seconds excess.
  3. As a variety show, each presentation may be a combination of dance, live band singing, lip syncing, miming or any form of choreography.
  4. Subliminal , sexually suggestive and vulgar actions will not be allowed. The performance should be wholesome and depicts the theme of the conference.
  5. Costumes must be creative ,colourful, unique and appropriate for the performance.
  6. Props and other materials may be used.
