TRAINING MANAGER

Job Purpose:

As the Training Manager you will have responsibility for both the development and delivery of training courses for staff and volunteers. This role would suit an experienced training delivery practitioner with great interpersonal skills and a commitment and loyalty to the team and organisation. This will include working with other senior managers to develop business plans for the organisation. Alongside developing and marketing of new courses to external organisations in order to generate income for Age UK LK. The position holder will be required to maintain Information Governance, confidentiality and discretion at all times.

Main Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not restricted to):

  • Undertake regular organisation wide training needs analysis for our staff and volunteers and build a training plan based on needs.
  • Maintain a database of potential learners and attendees for the courses.
  • Report back to senior management on course feedback and key learnings.
  • Designing, organising and promoting a range of high quality courses for staff and volunteers across the organisation i.e. Induction/core training, Safeguarding, Dementia, Mental Health, Health & Safety.
  • Creating, maintaining and updating a training matrix/log.
  • Full business responsibility for the development of the training arm of the charity.
  • Collect relevant data relating to course feedback and key learning.
  • Attend key meetings as required.
  • Review and identify current training needs, plan and implement a training programme for the organisation and other external learners.
  • Identifying current and future training needs for the organisation.
  • Planning and delivering high quality inductions for new starters.
  • Focus on delivering positive customer outcomes and managing risk associated with training.
  • Oversee compliant and robust processes through actively managing internal processes and procedures.
  • Participate fully in defining targets, standards and service levels to ensure they meet the needs both of the organisation.
  • Ensure cost effective training products are available so that the organisation can achieve its goals.
  • Maintain and manage a training budget ensuring that targeted activities are achieved within the budget.

Pay Scale

£22,555.99 - £24,811.59
