TaxFree Shopping Wins SASI-ONE Award
Carolyn Petty, President of TaxFree Shopping, ltd., was awarded its fourth SASI-ONE Award at the ONE Travel Conference’s SASI ONE Awards Breakfast, Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Bloomington, Minnesota.
“SASI-ONE Awards (SASI = Shop America Salutes Innovation) recognize prominent leaders in the tourism industry for their vision and commitment to developing shopping and cultural tourism,” said Rosemary McCormick President of Shop America Alliance and co-producer of the ONE Travel Conference. “We are pleased to recognize industry leaders such as Carolyn and applaud her remarkable achievements.”
The SASI was awarded to TaxFree Shopping for “Hooray for Shopping Tourism” in the Travel Partners category for companies in the travel industry producing marketing programs for shopping tourism. This year, there were more entries in the Travel Partners category than years past, making this award a great gesture towards the marketing program Petty has implemented.
TaxFree Shopping developed an international marketing program that encompasses online, print, and face-to-face interaction to showcase fantastic shopping and sales tax refund opportunities in Texas. With initiatives devised to educate potential clients and tour operators in selected markets, TaxFree Shopping predicts major growth in the future.
This will be the fourth SASI Award Petty has earned for TaxFree Shopping; “The Power of Advertising to the International Shopper” won a Global SASI-ONE Award in 2010, “Data is Delightful” and “Shopping Tourism for the 21st Century” both won SASI Gold Awards in 2013.
The SASI-ONE Awards are presented annually at the ONE Travel Conference for Shopping, Dining and Cultural & Heritage Tourism.
