Metals, Metalloids, and Nonmetals Essay
Compare and contrast the three different types of elements using their physical properties, and explain how you are able to determine if an element is a metal, nonmetal, or metalloid. Also, include the location of the elements on the periodic table. Your essay must have an introduction (1 paragraph), a body (3 paragraphs), and a conclusion (1 paragraph).

The Introductory Paragraphshould explain the main idea of the essay (Physical properties of metals, metalloids, and nonmetals). The opening sentence should tell about the first paragraph and summarize the content of the next three paragraphs (the body). For example, you could mention the periodic table and that it consists of all the known elements. You could include that the periodic table is organized by metals, metalloids, and nonmetals, also that we use physical properties to help us identify if an element is a metal, metalloid, or nonmetal. You may want to briefly explain that physical properties are characteristics of an object. This introductory paragraph should be no more than five or six sentences long, and each sentence should link with the one after it.
