Seed Money Grant Policy and Rules
- The research proposals in the prescribed format areinvited round the year.
- The seed proposalshould include:
- Bio-data
- Contribution to R&D
- Other previous R&D facilities availed like publication fees for journal, registration fees/TA/DA for conferences, training fees, etc.
- List of Publications (Conferences/Journals)
- Seed grant to an extent of Rs. 5 lakhs per project is allowed.
- The seed grant proposals received shall be scrutinized by a high level technical committee consisting of experts from NIT/IIT/Industry.
- The applicant/s of the proposal shall give presentation about the proposal before thecommittee. The committee decision shall be final.
- Conditions:
- The software/facility developed as a result of seed moneyshall be property of GHRLabs and Research Center.
- The Publications produced / patent filed on the above facility will be Intellectual Property of GHRLabs and Research Center.
- Duration of the project: Minimum-2 years, Maximum-3 years from the date of approval. The seed money will be released in installments based on progress of the project.
- Proposals can be individual/interdisciplinary/collaborative with industry/Associated with Ph.D programmes .
- Non-admissible expenditure: Laptop/Tablets/Mobiles/Computer/Other electronic personal gadgets/Salary component/hospitality/project assistant/ printer/ LCD.
- It is desired that research proposals are in collaboration with industry persons as Co-investigators/faculty from NIT/IIT as Co-investigator.
- Research outcomes in terms of Product design, patents, IRG by way of Industrial Consultancy and/or Continuing Education Programs needs to be clearly specified.The utility of the project as per societal needs and its relevance in tune to thrust areas of National importance have to be explained in detail.
- The responsibility of project completion and submission of the expenditure details is with the Principal Investigator.
- The Principalinvestigator, before proceeding for project, shall submit an undertaking for not leaving the project in between.
- All the materials, software procured till that date shall be property of the Lab.
