Report Highlights:

The most current enrollment figures (end of 3rd week) are 5,685, with a total seat-count of 16,203.

The most current enrollment figures (end of 3rd week) reveal a 12% increase in non-JPA student enrollment as compared to the previous year at the same time. This figure continues a multi-year upward trend (see Diagram5).

Ethnic distribution is similar to previous semesters with Hispanic-Americansrepresenting the greatest proportion, at 48% of the total student population(See Diagram 1).

The proportion of male students (39.6% Spring 08)seems to be slightly higher for the 07/08 academic year (See Diagram 2).

The number of students who were under 18increased significantly (19.2%) from the pervious Spring semester, while those over 60 decreased significantly (-18.7) (See Table 4).

Distance Education enrollment increased at double the rate of the Hollister campus which increased at double the rate of the Main-campus-site/Gilroy(See Tables 5 & 6).

The number of students who took both day and evening courses nearly doubled (42.6%) from the previous Spring semester (See Tables 10).
