Ch. 4

  1. Stanley sees barren, desolate land, a few rundown buildings and a cabin and two trees

  4. He is to dig a 5 foot by 5 foot hole
  5. Stanley begins his day by starting at 4:30AM in order to avoid the hottest part of the day
  6. He uses it to shoot yellow spotted lizards
  7. Anyone who runs away would die without water due to the heat

Ch. 5

  1. He is told to worry about the Warden
  2. He figures everyone says that they are innocent; he doesn’t was to seem like he has a bad attitude
