  1. Meeting Announcement and Posting

The meeting was properly announced and posted. Chair Prescott called the meeting to order at 9:00

Motion by Ruhland to approve the agenda. Seconded by Geiser. Motion carried unanimously.

  1. Approval of Minutes from February 3, 2016 Committee Meeting

Motion by Ott to approve the February 3, 2016 minutes. Seconded by Yelton. Motion carried unanimously.

  1. Government Lot Monumentation Project & CountySurveying

Brad Buechel, County Surveyor, gave a brief overview of the monumentation project including how lot corners are set and why this process is done yearly. The projectis scheduled to begin once the snow has melted and will focus on government lots from Town of New Holstein in the Southto the Town of Harrison on the north end of the County.

  1. Chapter 82 Zoning Ordinance Revision Update

Payette went through draft changes to the ordinance, giving an explanation for each potential change. There was some discussion about the deletion of the expiration section of the ordinance. Chair Prescott indicated there will be no action on this item as it is not completed. Payette reported to committee that staff has been meeting weekly to work on changes. He hopes to have the totally revised ordinance completed by the end of summer.

  1. Fox Cities Economic Outlook Breakfast Review

Payette distributed a booklet provided at the event to the committee that showed various economic statistics that are occurring in our region. In addition, the Committee viewed a video of the breakfast in which Manny Vasquez, Vice President of the Fox Cities Regional Partnership, discussed the regional economic statistics in detail.

DMI will be partnering with the County by giving a presentation on how local businessescan use web and social media resources. This event will be held May 10th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the courthouse. Lunch will be provided.

The next meeting date and time was set for Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.
