In this packet, you will find everything you need to start the registration process for the 2016-2017 swimming season. Before entering the water for your one-week tryout, you must complete and return the following:

Please use this as a checklist to ensure proper registration with RENO Aquatic Club. You will have one week free to tryout the group your son or daughter has been assigned to. After your one week free try out, with your permission we will deposit your check and submit this membership to be processed.

When your “New Member Packet” has been returned, at the conclusion of your one week free tryout, you will receive a welcome email from our registrar. He will have information on how to log onto our team data base/website and register your log in password to set up your direct withdrawal for your monthly automatic payments. 2016-2017 NEW SWIMMER GROUP ASSIGNMENT
Member swimmers receive professional swim instruction commensurate with their age, ability and desire along with opportunities to participate in organized competitive swim meets. Goal setting and evaluation may occur at least twice per year, or as requested to the coach by the swimmer. Based on the coaches’ evaluation, swimmers are placed in one of seven levels of practice divisions as defined in the RENO Aquatic Club Member Handbook. Should your swimmer be advanced to a new division, ample notice will be provided by the coaching staff.

2016-2017 BILLING TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION
PARENTS: PLEASE READ THESE CONDITIONS CAREFULLY – YOU ARE ENTERING INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE RENO AQUATIC CLUB
1. The yearly club reg fee of $92 (New Family fee or each Nov for returning families) per family is not refundable and must be paid prior swimmer entering the water.
2. New Swimmers will have one FREE week to evaluate our program. New Member Packet must be completed with all fees/dues paid, prior to beginning FREE week practices. We will not process your New Member Packet or deposit your check until FREE week is completed.
3. Training fees (dues) are billed every month, over a 12 month period, with payments being due by the 15th of each month (September through August). Payments not received by the 22nd day of the month will be assessed a $25.00 late fee.
4. Dues should be paid in full with RENO Aquatic Club Automatic Payment System.
5. Swim Meet Fees will be assessed to each swimmer and billed every month with the dues invoice.
6. If your swimmer moves up a practice division, the new training division fees will be billed on your next invoice cycle.
7. Each member will be charged a full months dues for every month in which they compete or attend a training session. Training fees are not refundable for a partial month. Fees will not be prorated under any circumstance other than a documented medical condition that would prohibit physical participation.
8. A current member in good standing may apply for emergency medical leave. Should a member give written notice that he or she will not be participating for an entire month because of a documented emergency medical condition the member may be entitled to place their membership on hold, not incur any training fees for the month, and reactivate the membership without paying the re-startup fee. Members must get written approval for medical leave from the head coach prior to next billing date.
9. Withdrawal from RENO Aquatic Club: Any swimmer wishing to drop out of RENO Aquatic Club must give a written 30 day notice to both the Business Manager and the swimmer’s division coach to avoid being billed for the next month. Verbal notice to a coach that one plans to discontinue RENO Aquatic Club will not serve as proper notice. If a member is billed unnecessarily and cannot provide proof of termination date, the member will be responsible for all charges on the account(s). Any fees incurred prior to the receipt of withdrawal notification will be billed and must be paid immediately.
10. An 18+ year-old member in good standing that leaves for the academic school year (September through May) and returns back for the summer, and will be charged college swimmer dues $375 which includes USA Swimming Registration.
11. A member may contact the any coach with questions on the accuracy of any RENO Aquatic Club bill. If it is determined that a member was incorrectly charged for a service, the member is entitled to a prompt refund of all incorrect amounts. (775) 828-7946
The below information summarizes the key commitment areas and provides the mechanism to communicate your understanding of these requirements and acknowledgement of your obligation to fulfill the responsibilities in order to remain as a member in good standing of the RENO Aquatic Club. Team Fees and Registration Cost
RENO Aquatic Club's preferred method of payment is by direct withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Second choice is automated credit or debit card payment. Please note: Credit Card: 3.5% and ACH (debit) $1.25 of account balance and paying by check has a $10 processing fee. Our monthly billing is sent out through email on the 1st of every month. Dues are to be paid on the 15th of every month. If payment is not received by the 22nd of each month, a late fee of $25.00 will be charged to your account. There will be a $20 charge on all NSF checks. FEES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

The joining fee is $205 collected up front during your first week of practice. This $73 includes your USA Swimmer registration and Insurance (check: Reno Aquatic Club) your first month of pool use fees ($40) and Family administrative fees ($92)

All swimmers practicing with a member club or competing in sanctioned USA Swimming events must be registered as athlete members of USA Swimming. The fee also covers liability insurance for the team and swimmers.
Administrative Fee $92.00 included in New Swimmer Joining Fee (Annually per family)
This annual fee is to offset the cost incurred by the team in the operation and functioning of a competitive swim team. These fees help cover events and activities for the swimmers and their families as well as the business and administrative costs associated with the operation of the team. This fee will be collected annually on November 1st from each family $92 ($Waived May-Aug).
Coaches Travel Meet Fee
This fee is to offset the cost incurred for the RENO coaching staff to travel to the various meets throughout the region and nationally. This fee will only be billed to swimmers participating in a meet. The fee will be billed the month after participation. First two children pay full fee, any family member athlete after the first two will not be charged.
· Local Meets: $5.00 (Carson City, Minden, etc.)
· Regional Meet: $40.00 (120 miles out of Reno area)
· Championships $50.00 (State, JO’s, Sectional, Nationals, etc.)
Parent Volunteer Program
Each family is asked to volunteer their time throughout the year to help with operations for the team, social events and banquets. Families need to have met hour requirement for oldest child in the highest group, it is not cumulative.
· Mini Reno: 2 Hours for the year Sept 1 – Aug 31 ($20 fee for each hour not met by August 31, 11:59pm)
· Age Group: 10 Hours for the year Sept 1 – Aug 31 ($20 fee for each hour not met by August 31, 11:59pm)
· Pre-Sr Group: 30 Hours for the year Sept 1 – Aug 31 ($20 fee for each hour not met by August 31, 11:59pm)
· Senior Group: 40 Hours for the year Sept 1 – Aug 31 ($20 fee for each hour not met by August 31, 11:59pm)
