There are no placing prize’s this year due to the large number of entrants expected. There will be a large number of spot prizes which kids are eligible for at the end of their race.

There will be an overall Toughest Junior School Trophy and Toughest Intermediate School Trophy, which will be awarded to the school with the highest percentage/ per school role, of students attending the event. Only registrations received before close off are eligible to win. Trophy will be presented at race briefing before the event starts. We will award the Toughest School Awards at the beginning of the event during the race briefing and introductions.

Race Clothing

It is recommended that kids wear t-shirt and shorts, or clothes suitable for physical activity. As there is water and mud on the course it is recommended that long pants are not worn. Shoes are optional, and bare feet will be at the risk of the individual (there may be a few bee’s around at this time of year). It is a good idea for participants to bring a spare change of clothes with them, as they will get wet from their race.

Food and Drink

Food and drink will be available for purchase from Bay Espresso, Mitre 10 Mega sausage sizzle and Tip Top Ice cream caravan. Apples will be available free of charge.

It is a good idea for each child to bring a water bottle with them. Water will be available around the venue for people to fill their water bottles up.

There will not be a set lunch break as there will be plenty of time for children between the race/s they are involved in.

Sun Smart

Please ensure children have appropriate sun hats and are protected with sunblock. There will be shade available when kids are seated in the grand stand; however, when they are competing there will be limited shade.

First Aid

A registered nurse will be on site during the event, to tend to any injuries or accidents sustained on the Mitre 10 Mega Tough Kid course.
