Universal Devices ISY-26 to ELK M1 Gold INSTEON Solution
In this course we will go over the setup and relationship of the Universal Devices ISY-26 and the ELK M1 Gold W/Ethernet

Step 1) Update the ISY with the latest up date from the Universal Devices website.
User name: ISY
Password: autoupdate
Step 2) Inside the update file for you ELK M1 Gold program you will find firmware and boot loader files that are loaded into your
M1 Gold C:\Program Files\ElkRP\Updates
You will need to copy and past the latest ELK files to this folder.
Boot loaders need to be installed in order. When you are in the ElkRP software you will go to send/rcvthen Enroll/Update Control and DevicesNote: you must be connected to the M1 Gold at this point

This is the Firmware file that you will look for after the last
boot loader is updated is installed. When 3.3.1 is shown as the
current loaded version then the program will allow you to see
this 5.1.1 firm ware update. Click on the file and update the
M1 Gold
Run and install the latest version of the ELK RP software on you computer.(a computer with XP should be used to do the next steps.

With these updates in place you will be able to transfer your lighting files from the ISY to the lighting file in the ELK RP software.

In the ISY under Configuration / Elk M1XEP tab you will need to
put the IP address and port number of the Elk M1XEP. This can be found on the account details page of the M1 Gold after the M1XEP is
found in the system. Use the IP and port the is automatically found in the XEP setup and put that same information in the ISY.
You will see a bar that says Generate Elk Export File
Save this file in a location where you will goto in the Lighting import tab(figure 2) under lighting in the Elk RP software. Remember to “X” the future tab after each light so the ISY can communicate with it.
Clicking show with an “X” will allow the lights to be seen on the touch screen. Now send the information to the controller.
