Natural Disasters
Research one of the events below. Write a one page report on a Google Document. Include important facts, what caused the natural disaster, and how people overcame the disaster.

Choose a famous landform. Research the landform and share through Google Slides or a PowerPoint Presentation. Be sure to answer the following questions:
●How was your landform created?
●What processes created the landform you chose?
Examples: The Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Old Faithful, Victoria Falls, Cape Horn, Mammoth Cave, The Great Lakes (choose one), Niagara Falls, etc. / Poster Presentation
The surface of the Earth changes due to weathering, erosion and deposition.
Using the template provided by your teacher, outline your illustration showing how those three processes change the surface of the Earth. Use a poster for your final copy.

Research & Design
Research and reread “The Black Blizzard” in your LBD book. Write a paragraph describing your plan for the family’s farm to help control the erosion.
Include a blueprint/design to represent your plan. Use grid paper, plain paper or Google Draw for your design. / Build A Model
Build a model of the Grand Canyon. Be sure to label the following features:
●Weathering (ice-wedging, root-wedging, water, wind, gravity)
●Erosion
●Deposition / Create A Board Game
Create an Earth Science trivia board game. You must have at least 15 question and answer cards for your game relating to our study of Earth Science. The questions must be somehow incorporated into playing the game. Your board game must include:
●10 landforms
●15 question/answer cards
●Start/Finish
●Make your game board neat, colorful, interesting, and creative!
