Here is the info. on the Patristics conference where I'll be presenting my paper, "The Idea ofKenosisin Theodoret'sThe Life of Saint Simeon the Stylites." It will be presented during the 13th Annual Archbishop Iakovos Graduate Students Conference in Patristic Studies,March 2-4, 2017, at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, Brookline, MA..( DonUrso, our parishioner and Parish Advisory Council member, has also written a paper on The Defense of Iconography by St John of Damascus). Both are available from Fr Ed.

FYI: Our clothing shed has brought in $3230 since June, 2013 when we agreed to help others, while getting 40 cents a lb for our Building Fund; hopefully to re-pave our parking lot and driveways. Here is a letter from the company:

Thank you for continuing to collaborate with us on the St Pauly Textile clothing shed project! In 2016 roughly 19,561 garments of clothing were donated to your shed. This was enough to clothe an estimated 2,372 people. This clothing is being used right now by people in one or more different countries (including the US) to which our clothing is likely to be distributed this past year. YOUR PARISH RAISED $1,162 IN 2016 FROM THE SHED! We ask you to continue to spread the word about the clothing shed to others in your community. Thank you for all your support!

(Thanks to Dave & Rose LaFleur for maintaining the shed by moving the clothing bags to the right, etc).
