Job Purpose:

To protect and save life, property and the environment by providing accurate, timely, appropriate management information as requested by internal and external individuals and organisations. Provide support to the HR Departmentthrough the provision of HR management information to support workforce planning and analytics.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure the provision of appropriate, timely and accurate management information to support strategy development, management decision-making and to improve the effectiveness of HR services.

  1. Regularly and when requested produce high quality reports in formats suitable for the intended audience, analysing the content and highlighting specific information or trends.
  2. Ensure that robust systems are in place for collection of information meeting the requirements of ECF&RS and external agencies such as Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) or for Freedom of Information requests.
  1. To develop and deliver a range of regular monitoring reports with analysis,covering all aspects of HR procedures including: workforce diversity profile, turnover,reward, recruitment, staff development, promotions, personal review and developmentplans (appraisal), grievances & disciplinarians, sickness absence and leaving questionnaires.
  1. Support and assist users through a helpdesk service for SAP HR queries and provide system training to HR and non-HR users.
  1. Participate inSAP systems upgrades processes, including reviewing release notes and formulating and running system tests.
  1. Lead on improvements to workforce data, seek feedback from service users to help focus on areas requiring improvements.
  1. To maintain the integrity of the HR SAP system by implementing appropriate governance procedures and developing an excellent knowledge of data and data limitations within the system.
  1. Undertake regular data audits to ensure the accuracy of inputted data either through Employee Self-Service (ESS) or by the HR Support Team.
  1. Participate in the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) andmetrics to assess the effectiveness of the HR and OD strategy and plan.
  1. To ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all HR information in accordance with theData Protection Act and other relevant legislation and codes of practice.
  1. Positively contribute to a safe work environment ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Risk Management, Business Continuity and Safeguarding policy and procedure. Protect all personal information in adherence with the Data Protection Act 1998.
  1. Any other duties commensurate with the responsibilities and grading of the post.
