A. MINUTES: Approval of the minutes of May 2, 2012. MINUTES

Urbanchek moved to approve the minutes as written. Second, Johnson.

B. COMMUNITY COMMENTS: None.

Swenson moved to handle item E-5 at this time. Second, Urbanchek.

5. Request from Nashotah Clubhouse for approval of the 2012 Blues Fest. BLUES FEST

NASHOTAH

Swenson moved to approve the 2012 Blues Fest to be held August 26, CLUBHOUSE

2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. subject to the applicant providing

private security, the entire area of operation to be fenced in, outdoor beverages

limited to beer, coolers, Mikes, soda and water, providing 8 outdoor portable

restroom facilities with a sink, and clean up to immediately follow the festival.

Second, Urbanchek.

C. COMMITTEE/OFFICER REPORTS: REPORTS

1. Police: Officer Freyer presented the monthly report. Report placed on file.

2. Park: Swenson stated it is the 10th anniversary of the park naming/dedication.

3. Clerk: Pfeifer reported an 83% voter turnout with 860 voters. She stated there

were 12 new registrants prior to the election and 51 new registrants election

day bringing the total number of registered voters to 1040.

4. President: Lartz said we have received $2025 in donations from residents,

friends and businesses and will receive $2000 from the Lake Area Chief's

Association for the Fire Chief's Memorial and reported a preliminary sketch

has been completed for the proposed memorial.

1. Request to approve appointments to Police Advisory Committee POLICE

(postponed 5/2/2012, D-1). ADVISORY

2. Request to approve the revised Nashotah Police Department Rules, POLICE RULES/

Regulations, Procedures and Standards of Conduct (postponed REGULATIONS/

5/2/2012, E-1). PROCEDURES

Swenson moved to approve the manual subject to review by James

Macy, Labor Lawyer with Davis & Kuelthau, S.C. Second, Johnson.

E. NEW BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS

1. Request for action on recommendation from Finance/Personnel POLICE OFFICER

Committee on hiring of Police Officer. HIRE

Lartz moved to approve hiring Thomas Moerman as a Police Officer

for the Village of Nashotah at an hourly rate of $22.00 for the remainder

of 2012 after which time his hourly rate will be changed to match that of

the other Nashotah Police Officers. Second, Swenson.

2. Request to approve purchase of squad car and required equipment, POLICE SQUAD/

computer, docking station and required peripheral equipment and for COMPUTER/

installation of same with funds from the Long Term Capital Improvement PERIPHERAL

Johnson moved to approve the purchase of a 2013 Chevy Tahoe 2WD

with the police package, a computer, docking station and all required

peripheral equipment and installation of same with funds from the long

term capital improvement fund. Second, Gardner.

3. Request to approve Traffic and Criminal Software (TRACS) Lead POLICE TRACS

Urbanchek moved to approve the TRACS Lead Agency Agreement

with Waukesha County Sheriff's Department. Second, Johnson.

6. Request to approve issuance of the following license for a period of 7/1/12 LICENSES

through 6/30/13 subject to all requirements being met: Dickten & Masch DICKTEN & (Canteen Vending & Distributing, Inc.) Coin Operated Vending Machines. MASCH

7. Request to approve issuance of the following licenses for a period of 7/1/12 LICENSES

through 6/30/13 subject to all requirements being met: Nashotah Clubhouse NASHOTAH Inc: N44W32998 Watertown Plank Road – “Class B” Liquor License and CLUBHOUSE

Class “B” Beer License for the restaurant, bar, 1st floor with the basement

for storage only; and parking lot for annual Blues Fest subject to approval

of the Village Board; Tobacco License; Soda Water License; Coin Operated

Vending Machine; and Amusement Device/Music Machine License.

8. Request to approve issuance of the following licenses for a period of 7/1/12 LICENSES

through 6/30/13 subject to all requirements being met: Picnic Basket PICNIC BASKET Restaurant of Wisconsin, Inc.: W329N4492 Lakeland Drive – Class “B” for the

restaurant, 1st floor, with the remainder of the building for storage only; Soda

Water License; Amusement/Music Machine License.

9. Request to approve issuance of the following licenses for a period of 7/1/12 LICENSES through 6/3013 subject to all requirements being met: ND&E, Inc.dba The RED CIRCLE Red Circle Inn: N44W33013 Watertown Plank Road – “Class B” Liquor INN

License, Class “B” Beer License for the restaurant, lounge, all floors and

portable bars on the adjacent property subject to Village President approval

and notification of the Village Trustees, Soda Water License.

requirements being met and payment of required fees. Second, Swenson.

F. TRANSMITTALS: TRANSMITTALS

1. Certificate of Appreciation to Cynthia Pfeifer and the Village of Nashotah for

participation in the co-op internship program.

Pfeifer stated she was pleased with the work of the intern, Theresa Sayles,

who continues to work for the village on a temporary as needed basis in

the Village Office where she is being trained on all office procedures.

G. ACCOUNTS/CLAIMS: Approved.
