Connecting Communities

What is the Good Neighbour Programme?

What is the Good Neighbour Project?

The Good Neighbour project is part of the Support Wellingborough’s ‘Connecting Communities Programme’. It is funded by the Big Lottery to help people in Wellingborough and local communities. We are looking to recruit and support local volunteers called ‘Good Neighbours’ who want to make a positive difference to someone else’s life and connect people to their neighbours and communities.

Why we need Good Neighbours?

Not everyone has family and friends that they can rely on for support and companionship. Good Neighbour volunteers can help and make a real difference for people in their community and neighbourhood.

If you would like to be a Good Neighbour, what should you do?

Please contact us if you are interested and we will go through the details with you about how to apply and what we are looking for.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to help someone else.
