Dear Weimar FFA State Conventioneer:

Are you ready? We are going to Dallas! We are so VERY excited to share this experience with you! It is going to be great. We will be representingWeimar, Texas/Weimar HS/Weimar FFA.

We must prepare. Two sets of Official FFA Attire should go with each of you. Two pair of black pants or skirts, at least 2 white shirts, FFA tie or scarf, comfy black shoes with closed toe and back, black socks/hose and your FFA Jacket. Casual clothes should also be included; BRING YOUR SWIMMING SUIT and a towel. Plan for the weather forecast (hot, hot, and did I mention? hot). We will all get along great, get plenty of rest when the time comes, stay hydrated, be very excited and enthusiastic, don’t whine, budget our money and always be smart about our personal safety.

Wewill depart from WHS Ag Building no later than 8:30am on Sunday, July 7th. We must be in Dallas at 2:30pm. We have an appointment on Sunday at 2:30pm and Monday at 1:00pm. We will be serving at Mission Arlington on Tuesday morning for our Day of Service activity-please bring tennis shoes for this occasion.

During our time in Dallas, we will attend leadership workshops, listen to motivational speakers, vote on Texas FFA Constitution amendments and business, receive the National Chapter award and recognition as the NUMBER 1 CHAPTER in TEXAS, be recognized as a GOLD ranked Golden Horizon Award Chapter, watch the Senior Quiz members being recognized for their accomplishments as the state winning team in Sr Quiz, go crazy as we watch the Weimar scholarship recipients being recognized, yell for the Lone Star Degree recipients, meet new people and make friends, and always have a POSITIVE attitude towards each other and the people we come into contact with!

We will be staying at La Quinta Dallas Love Field (about 6 miles from the Dallas Convention Center). Your registration, tickets for all events, Thursday lunch, and hotel have all been paid. Your responsibility will be to pay for your remaining meals. There is also an exhibit hall where souvenir items may be found.
