Reading

You should read 5 out of 7 days a week for at least 10 minutes. Parents/carers are asked to sign the record sheet each day their child reads.
In your Reading Comprehension strategies groups you will be sent home additional weekly tasks to help you with your current strategy. Please ensure these are completed each week and handed in to your group’s teacher.

Be Geographical
Over 4 weeks, investigate other countries where French is spoken. Look at a world map and locate each country. Which country has the most French speakers?

Make up a countdown challenge of your own. It should have 6 digits and at least 2 small or 2 big numbers. /

Be an Independent Learner

Decide on a topic you would like to learn about e.g World War 2, then research it! Write down the 3 most interesting facs you learn!
Be You 1!Record an activity that you have undertaken recently and discuss the skills that you have developed whilst doing it. /

Be a Safety Inspector

Using what you found out at the Risk Factory look around your house for possible hazards. Share with someone at home respectfully on how you can correct it. Could you even check your fire alarm once a week? / Be a Reporter
Watch the news/Newsround or cut out a newspaper article that you are interested in. Be prepared to discuss your thoughts and say why you think the article is important.

Be You 2!Record an activity that you have undertaken recently and discuss the skills that you have developed whilst doing it. / Be Respectful

Discuss with an adult the 7 articles on your class charter and the respectful behaviours that you have agreed to demonstrate in class. /

Be Artistic

Make a model or a poster based on your favourite hobby, past-time or sport. Be bright, bold and colourful!

Expectations

Homework grid should be completed within four weeks. The 4compulsory tasks must be completed and then you must choose 4 more additional tasks.
