Class 1 – THE EQUIVALENCE OF DAYS

2Pe 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (KJV)

2Pe 3:8 8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. (NIV)

  1. ONE DAY IS EQUAL TO 1000 YEARS IN CERTAIN OCCASIONES

Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Gen 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” (NIV)

Question: Did Adam die that day?

-The answer is NO. However, no man could live up to 1000 years. The longest lived was Matusalen

Gen5:27And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

  1. JEWISH CALENDAR

The current calendar of the Jews, counts 5777. Which means that we are finishing the 6thday to the point of entering the 7th. This corresponds to the 7 days of God’s creation in which we know “God rested on the seventh day” Gen 2:2

Hebrews chapter 4 refers us to the promise to enter the rest of God, which agrees with the “seventh day.”

We must not rely on the difference of 233 years, because the Lord Jesus accent that “the days will be shortened.” Mat 24:22

The Sabbath of God, is a sign of being made Holy. Exo 31:13

  1. GREGORIAN CALENDAR

This is the name given to the calendar we use nowadays. As its name expresses it, it was elaborated by a religious catholic, whose name was Gregory. This calendar has a margin of error of 4 years, but the point is, it is constituted from the birth of the Lord Jesus (AC/DC)

According to this calendar, we are in the “3rd day” in which God sends us to be prepared to receive Him. Exo 19:11

Class 2- THE RESURECTION

Hoseas 6:2

After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

  1. TWO TYPES OF RESURECTION
  1. To live
  2. For condemnation

John 5:29and come out—those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned.

  1. TWO RESURRECTION TIMES- Before and after the millennium

Rev 20:5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

-Verse 4 specifies that the “testimony of Jesus” is neededby the word of God. Do you have these two things?

Mat 10:32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven.

Mat10:33 But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.

Mat 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

  1. TWO EVIDENCES OF THE RESURECTION

-Seek the things that come from above

Col 3:1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Rom 6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

-Be transformed into incorruptible

1Cor 15:51-52 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—

1Cor 15:52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.

Class 3- THE WEDDINGS

John 2:1-2

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:2 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.

The scripture shows at least 3 types of people that participates in “the weddings”:

  1. Guests (Mat 22:2-19)
  2. Dress (Mat 22:11-12)
  3. Wife (Rev 19:9)

*Teacher must apply each point based on the biblical quotations.

Class 4- GETTING READY FOR THE THIRD DAY

Exodus 19:11 And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai.

The context of this passage, mentions 3 things that apply tothis preparation. Once we identify each one, we will see, considering the scripture, how we can prepare in actuality:

  1. To sanctify oneself
  2. Washing the dressings
  3. Stand firm
  1. To sanctify oneself

2Tim 2:21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

-The context of this passage talks about cleaning ourselves from strife, shamming things, vain words, iniquity and dishonor.

Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

John 17:17 Sanctify them by[a] the truth; your word is truth.

  1. Washing the dressings

Mar 9:3 And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

-The best way to wash the dressings, is by spending time min the presence of God the father

Rev 7:13-14 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”

14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

-If we do nothing to wash our clothes before God comes, the most certain, is that they leave us in “the great tribulation” to wash them and present ourselves in front of God.

  1. Stand Firm – This means “to be ready to receive him”

Luke 12:35-40 (EVERYTHING REVOLVES AROUND THE RECOGNIZION OF THE LORD)

-Lit Lamp (V35)

-Diligence (V36)

-To guard (V37)

-Patience (V38)
