MINUTES:

  • Permablitz Updates

Jakki’s blitz went well but not achieved what was planned. The committee decided to revisit the requirements of a blitz to address some of these issues.

Bob and Lili’s blitz is scheduled for the 30th May and Fiona’s scheduled 27th June and Dan’s is scheduled for 18th July.

Jodie and Matt will discuss with Bill a blitz. Cathy will be having a blitz in August.

Fiona presented her blitz pitch.

  • Freo Permies Social Capital

Jodie raised the issue of social capital within the group particularly with regards blitz’s and it was decided that the following are prerequisites to hosting a blitz:

  • Active member of the group
  • Regularly attend meetings and social events
  • Assist in the planning and execution of one blitz prior and one post blitz.
  • Attend three blitz’s
  • Present a Blitz pitch to the committee.
  • Committee

The topic of not enough attendance at the last meeting was raised by Jodie and an alternative time suggested but it was decided to stick with the current last Tuesday night of each month and if, for some reason, there isn’t enough attendance then that is also ok.

Social Events

The post blitz tour is scheduled for the 16th May. Discussions were started around raising meat birds. The initial trial was decided to be closed test group prior to extending invitations further. Fiona, Dan, Bob and Lili, Cathy and Jakki expressed interest and contact will be made with other committee members to see if they are interested. Jodie will organise the next step of this. The mosaic afternoon tea has been moved to another day yet to be updated.
