Board Members Present:Keith Keierleber, Justin Wagner, Andy Piccioni, Jodi Milton, Melissa Kittelmann,Kyle McGlone, Phil Nelson,Sean Hanson,Brian McClean,Bill Bender and AngelaKuhlanek

The meeting was called to order at 6:35 pm by BAHL President Keith Keierleber.

Minutes:Justin moved and Bill seconded to approve minutes with correction of the dates for the Coaches’ Clinic to October 15-16(not September). Motion carried.

President’s Report: Nothing at this time.

Treasures’ Report: Phil presented financials which were approved and will be placed on file.

League Directors Report: Brad reported on registration numbers; overall down slightly at this time. LTS in down, but there is usually last minutes registration the first day of the session. LTP currently has 11 registered. Jessie Stefek will help as a liaison with this group.

Try Hockey for Free registrants will be contacted via e-mail about the LTP and LTS programs.

Tryouts time have been set. We are anticipating 2 squirt teams and one pee wee team. (Evaluators will be Mike Richards, Trent and Zach Wilson: all non-parent evaluators)

Paul will be taking hockey pictures on October 23. High school will be taken on a different date due to conflicts.

Gun RaffleProceeds: Bill Bender moved and Justin Wagner seconded that proceeds from the gun raffle be used to purchase Bauer warm ups for all travel players and coaches. Motion carried.

House Practice: Brad has contacted Blue/White to help coach this program on Friday afternoons.

Brad presented the Nov – March practice schedule. Bill Bender moved to approve, seconded by Phil Nelson, motion carried.

Welcome back BBQ: Will be held on Sept 18th from 2-5 pm. Brad will be sending out an e-mail to membership and Melissa will help with organization and preparations.

Facilities Director Report: Dustin attributed the increase in water usage to need to circulate water to keep it cooler during the recent warm weather. Power increase is associated with the stop and start of the compressors in this early season time – which required more power than constant operation.

Partition has been installed in men’s restroom.

Working on cover for cistern.

Currently collecting data from the new operating system to allow coding for maximum efficiency.

Still waiting for bid for water bottle fill station.

Front doors: waiting for installer.

Arena policy is NO dogs in building except service dogs. Signs will be posted and we have been asked to help remind patrons of this policy.

Concession Stand: Bodrie Williams will be managing the concessions area.

Sea Cadet group is considering volunteering for community service. We will continue looking for work study employees and advertise on Craig’s List.

Fundraising Committee:

Gun Raffle: Tickets are printed and ready to be checked out- some sales at Home Improvement Show. Tickets will also be available at the concession stand and skate room. Drawing will be held December 3rd. Unsold tickets need to be returned by Nov 14th.

In conjunction with the raffle drawing, we would like to promote pictures with Santa and the Zamboni as a part of public skate preceding the Bulls game. Bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank and receive a free photo. Otherwise, pictures a $5 each. Brad will try to block this in with the MAHA scheduling.

Pint Aid will be held on Oct 11th from 6-8 pm. Connor has arranged for a band. We will be setting up raffle again and walking tacos. Shawna will be planning the meal portion of the event. There is a need to reach out to the adult groups and other users to promote as a Centennial Ice Arena Fund Raiser. Andy will promote of FB and other media. We need to get posters up promoting the event as well.

Eat Wings Raise Funds is slated for November16th.

Player fundraisers: Wreath sales will be structured as in the past, with $10 from each sale going back to the players. Coffee sales will return $4 for each item to the player. Sales will begin October 10th and order for coffee and wreaths must be turned in with money by Friday, November 11. Wreaths are targeted to arrive the Monday prior to Thanksgiving.

The Schwan’s on line fundraiser will be set up to capture the holiday market. We will contact them about a “Park the Truck” event to kick off the campaign.

Marketing Committee: Home Improvement Show was a good outreach and worth the time.

Andy is exploring a new program possibility which would make managing the TV monitors easier and more accessible. He hopes to have the new program operational by November. We would like to promote activities, events and player of the week.

Coaches Committee: The level 1 & 2 Coaches Clinic bill be on Oct 15 and 16. Cost will be $40 per person. Each participant needs a background check.

Facilities Committee: Nothing at this time.

Old Business: None

New Business: Bill asked for clarification of “user group”. There needs to be better management of “Zero tolerance” within our facility and clarification about youth events and “user group” events. Melissa asked for approval of beer to be brought in by the user group adult rec hockey. Approval was granted.

Next Meeting: Oct 10 at 6:30pm at rink.

Bill moved to adjourn, Phil seconded and motion passed.
