Lisa Black-Schwandt / A+ Coordinator
Please take time to visit our website on the
Camdenton R-III School District web page.
Once you are on the page, choose “High School” click on “Programs & Services” and choose “A+ Program”. There you will find important information regarding our programs as well as the A+ Newsletters. I hope you find this page useful!
I will be meeting with seniors and their parents/guardians regarding GPA and attendance issues during Parent Teacher ConferenceTuesday, October 23rdfrom4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. or Thursday, October 28thfrom 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. I will contact you to set up these appointments ONLY if one is necessary.
You should soon be receiving your A+ Status Update in the mail. This update is to inform you and the A+ student of their current GPA, completed hours of tutoring/mentoring(as of September 2, 2014), Algebra I EOC requirement and attendance standing. I have already met with all A+ seniors to go over their attendance, GPA, Algebra I EOC requirement, and A+hours. In doing so, I have already scheduled those seniors that have not met their 50 hours. It is extremely important seniors complete the required 50 hours by April 30th. Please encourage your senior to attend their scheduled tutoring days. Don’t let them wait. April will be here before you know it!
Just a reminder, if your son/daughter is graduating early and plans to go to school in January, the FAFSA needs to be completed online for the current year. Completing the FAFSA is a requirement for all A+ students.
Please plan on attending the College Night Thursday, October 16th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Camdenton High School. This is a good time to plan for the future by visiting with the college representatives and the military branches.
If your son/daughter needs a tutor, please contact the A+ office. As always please feel free to contact the A+ office at 346-9226 if you have questions or concerns.
Please see the attached A+ Senior Timeline for 2014/15.
Sincerely,
Lisa Black-Schwandt
A+ Coordinator
